"I wanted to know that you were gonna be okay." Warp retorted, his expression softening just a little. "And judging by the fact that you're still conscious...well it's a good sign anyway." He moved to help Buzz take his suit off.

“Yeah… Sorry.” Buzz sighed. “I’m just a little… umm… tender right now, for lack of a better word.”
He let Warp help him, and stretched once he was out of the suit. Then… “Aargh!” Maybe stretching hadn’t been the smartest thing to do.

"Don't worry about it." Warp's eyes widened slightly as he set Buzz armor a chair. "Mmhmm, Buzz you look like you went through a blender." He voice was flat as he stepped back and let Mira finish her job. He was saving the rest for later.

"Either way you're going to need to take off your armor."

Buzz straightened instantly and said in that rather loud, irritated tone that was uniquely him: “Okay, that does it. Captain’s going home now – ‘night, everybody.”

"Wait Buzz!" Mira called, then thought better of it then glared over at Warp.
"Why can't you keep that big mouth of yours shut?" Dropping the subject she left the room and ran down the hall after Buzz.
"Would you slow down and give me a minute to catch up?"

"You're not going anywhere until you see Erin!" Warp shouted down the hallway. He wasn't about to let Buzz just walk away. "She's waiting for you to come back."

Buzz froze. “Erin.” He smacked his forehead, then groaned at the stupidity of the motion. He glanced over his shoulder and said, “I’ll go see her now.”

You bet you will. Warp quietly followed, just in case Buzz decided to pass out.

Erin’s face lit up when Buzz entered the room. “Hey there, stranger,” she grinned. “You’re alive.”
Buzz managed a slight laugh. “Yeah. Kinda.” He moved to the side of the bed and hugged her gently. “So how ‘bout you?”
“Hurting in different spots, but I’ll get over it,” she assured him. “Should I assume the same for you?”
“I s’pose. Honestly, I just want to go home, zone out on the couch, and stay zoned out for the next twelve hours.”
“Ooo, I hear that,” she nodded.
Buzz looked down at the bed briefly, then back up at his sister. “Erin, umm, you didn’t by any chance, uh…”
She just smiled knowingly and nodded slowly. “We can talk about it tomorrow, though.”
One corner of Buzz’s mouth pulled back. “Later, you mean. It’s already tomorrow.”
Erin gave a light giggle. “Are you going, then?”
“I think so, yeah.”
She leaned forward to kiss him on the cheek. “G’night then, Big Brother.”
He ran a hand over her left cheek and kissed her forehead. “Good night, Sis.” And stood to leave.

"Do you need one of us to drive you home?" Warp asked as Buzz got up to leave.

Buzz halted, again. That was a good question. He’d flown the cruiser here, sure, but more than half of that was autopilot. His pride resented the need to be driven home, but his common sense told him that it would probably be a good idea. After half a minute of deliberating, he finally admitted, “…That might be a good idea.”

Mira sighed as she watched Warp and Buzz make way down the halls and toward Erin's room. Rubbing the back of her neck, she backtracked to where she was originally was supposed to go.
The computer station was completely empty, but luckily for her she found a few Com's still up an running, humming quietly on stand by.
She just had to hurry up, finish her report and then the real fun could start.
Cracking her fingers Mira sat at the closet computer to the door. But before she even reached out toward the computer the unexpended, unexplainable, craters-why-couldn't-this-happen-on-a-boring-regular-day thing happed.
Major shut down of Star Command.
Each and every computer, light, door, and everything else electronic shut down before her eyes, leaving everyone in darkness.
"Craters," Mira swore as the auxiliary generators supplied back-up power right away. Then another thought came to mind.
"Crap, Erin!" And she sprinted off down to the medical bay.

“What the~??”
“Whoa!”
The power returned almost immediately.
Brown eyes wide, Erin said, “Good thing I wasn’t on life-support.”
Buzz’s eyes narrowed as he flipped open his communicator and hailed Command. “Lightyear here. What was that??”
--“Pooower faaailure.”
“I know that, dang-blast it!” Buzz shouted. “Was that a malfunction or a sabotage attempt??”
-- “Unsuuure.”
Buzz growled in frustration and slammed his communicator close, muttering something about the unfairness of having a problem past midnight on today of all days when all he wanted to do was go home and rack out on the couch.
He looked up to see Mira running in his direction. “Mira, hey! Any idea what’s going on?”

"No," Mira shook her head, trying to catch her breath. "I was just logging into one of the computers then suddenly the power goes out."
