Mira cringed, looking over her shoulder to her father standing in the door frame.
He didn't give her a chance to speak as he and Buzz engaged in a battle of wits, only coming to the conclusion she herself didn't figure out til now, that Anderson was behind this plot.
"Maybe he planned this even before SID. Maybe even before he met us in that store...wait a moment."
She stopped, racking her brain with every possible memory of Anderson, replaying every scene that happened between them.
"Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I think ole' Mr. Anderson here is a time traveler too. Think about it, he shows up out of nowhere, claiming to know both me an' Buzz, then shows up again downtown after the explosion, and now in the hospital..."
She snapped her fingers. "That's it. He's a time traveler. How else can he show up in all those places at once? And know us at the same time?"

King Nova rubbed his chin pensively, and Buzz continued to pace, hands clasped behind his back. “I don’t know, Mira,” Buzz mused. “I think that a person could do all that without time-traveling. We’re all over the media—he probably knows us by sight. I think it’s highly likely that he has his own spy-net, and really, the only occurrence with him that can’t just be explained away is the time-lapse we experienced while in his little shop. Now that one—” he grimaced—“that one could be explained not so much by time travel as time control. It’s entirely possible that you and I time-traveled while Anderson made it happen.” He paused in his pacing. “To be honest, that’s an even more frightening prospect.”
“Yes, well,” the King frowned, “as fascinating as the topic is, we can discuss it once we have your kidnapper safely behind bars. In the meantime, is there anything we can do?”
Buzz’s expression went grave. “We can put an APB out for Cora, and give police a description of Anderson and his associate Wire. Right now, that’s about all we can do.”

Mira sighed, crossing her arms. She thought it was a pretty good concept that Anderson was a time-traveler, but of course Buzz had to get technical with this.
But the APB was a good idea.
"You know it would be a good idea to call Woody, but he got out of here late last night. I hardly think he's going to be in the office right now. Especially with the hold his wife had on him."

Buzz snorted. “I can hardly blame her.” He folded his arms. “I’m gonna go call the Commander back, and then you and I ought to get on up to Star Command, okay?”
“And where do I fit into this equation?” asked King Nova, also folding his arms.
“Uhhh…” Buzz turned to Mira. “Mira?”

Mira scratched the back of her head. What should she do; tell her father to wait back at her apartment? He'd hardly go with that and it would turn into an all out argument that would waste more time than necessary.
"I think you should come with us. Just don't say anything to the ranger's though."

King Nova leaned back on his heels and gave Mira The Look. “Mm, yes, well… I make no promises.”
Buzz shook his head. “I’ll go make that call. It’ll only take a minute.” He left the room, searching for the nearest phone.
((Let’s chat before this goes any further?))

((Last post before the next tread maybe? Just wanted to finish this up.)
Mira shot him a look right back, crossing her arms. "Then I take back my word on visiting more often."
She shook her head. "Forget it. We should get ready to leave. It's going to be a long day." She stretched, feeling all her bones creak and crack at the sudden movement. "Maybe longer than needed to be." She groaned. She was almost twenty-five and was already feeling the aches and pains of getting old. Wonderful. Add a missing kid that isn't even born yet and a husband you haven't married yet and just fast forward her to thirty. She felt like it.
