Mira bit her lip. "It would have been better if it did. You know how our daughter was kidnapped from the hospital in a coma by two wackjobs we met before?"
"Well, she knows them. She knows them very well. They disguised one of their own as a Doctor to put her into a fake coma so they could steal her away from us because she has to complete the mission she was sent on! And before you ask how I know all this; we're Tangian. We can focus on each other's brainwaves and basically enter one another's mind if one's in a comatose state."
Mira grumbled all the way down to the room, saying something along the lines of 'When I get my hands on that man in the future, I'm going to...' and 'That girl better be good at keeping house cuz she's going to be our cleaning lady till she's thirty."
Other things are kept to the imagination, but Mira was beyond peeved. And there was only one reason for this.
She won't see her daughter again till she's born.

Following Mira’s explanation, Buzz blinked. “Okaaay…” He shook his head and continued to follow her. “I’ll just… take your word for it.”

Mira stopped short of the door, grabbing Buzz before he got too far ahead of her.
Taking a deep breath to calm herself down, she looked up at him. "Remember I didn't want to sleep alone because I didn't want to see any kind of torment Cora was going through? Well I did see things, but it wasn't torment. It was like....like some undercover opt that I secretly spied into to....l-l-like Cora was more or less taking orders from Anderson rather than your as her leader...does that make sense?"
She rubbed her temples, knowing he was confused. "I'm rambling, I'm sorry. It's confusing for me too, but it seemed to me like Cora went behind our backs and...."
"Buzz!" Mira turned to her head to see XR coming out the door. "Good timing, we were coming to get you two. We have a signal from that Anderson guy. He wants to speak to you two."

“Okay, okay, it’s okay,” Buzz was starting to say when XR appeared.
He wants to speak to you two.
Buzz’s face darkened. “Got it.” He turned to Mira. “You gonna be okay?”

Mira wrung her hands, sliding the one through her hair till it delicately sprung into her face.
"Yeah. Yeah let's get this over with."
When she entered the room the large wall intercom was full of static, switching from color to black and white then suddenly snow to a picture of an extreme close-up of Anderson's face.
"Yeah, we really needed to see that," XR remarked. Mira gently pushed him in the side, getting him to quite down.
"Sorry about that, the connection gets cluttered with all the other connections going in and out there...what do you mean that's not the right phrase? Or never mind Wire, you don't know what you're...oh yes." He coughed in his hands.
"Hi! Hello out there wonderful people, how are you today?" Mira glared nastily up at his, almost ready to snarl. She really wasn't in the mood to talk to this guy.
"Wonderful I see...um well...." He pulled on his collar.
"Anderson, let me speak." He stepped aside and Cora came into view; healthy, well, and not a scratch on her.
"Cora!" Mira exclaimed, feeling relived then slightly...not. Something wasn't right. It could have been that her daughter was A-OK, looking better than ever that threw her off, but more or less it was the way Cora looked at them. A look in-between guilt and pleading. It didn't help matters much that she held that stone-cold stare that Buzz only gave to the worst of enemies. The blue eyes only added to the effect.
"Hi Mom," She said sullenly. "I'm sorry about the mess I've put you through, that I've put you both through. William Anderson here only had the best intentions for me, but his ways are strange. I was never put in any real danger, rest assured."
"What do you mean 'never put in any real danger'? You were drugged!" Mira's tone made Cora wince, but she still held that army Commander-like pose. She looked more like a female Buzz with blue-skin, red hair, and a smaller chin.
"Like I said, Anderson's strange. More loony in the head than anything else; must be the women giving him one too many smacks across the head."
"Now THAT was uncalled for!"
"Anyways, he's apart of the mission I was assigned for and....it looks like no progress is getting done at this rate with me being at Star Command. He came here to help me finish the mission. As of now Star Command and Team Lightyear are no longer apart of the main mission. That is now my job. I'm sorry, but...."
She bit her lip, acting like this was the hardest thing to say. It probably was.
"I'm sorry but this is going to be the last time we see each other till the future."

He had nearly knocked his chair over and the room had more or less be thrown into a slight state of choas when the call had come in. I barely had time to finish my milkshake...
Warp made himself not look at Buzz and Mira as the couple to be re-entered the room. Partially because he didn't trust the look that might be on his own face, but mostly because he didn't want to see the ones on their faces. He could only imagine what they were.
"Yeah, yeah, let's get this over with."
Warp had to agree with XR; Anderson's face was not something that he wanted to see a close-up of, or just see for that matter. Standing quietly to the side, he listened to the exchange between Anderson and Mira, and Cora and Mira.
"I'm sorry, but this is going to be the last time we see each other till the future."
WHAAAT!?! A muffled grunt was all that came out. Bringing a hand up to his mouth, Warp rubbed his face slightly, attempting to alleviate the pain from literally bitting his toung. He prayed that Buzz and Mira would be able to handle the news.

The emotions Buzz felt throughout the whole thing were too many and too intense to categorize, so he didn’t bother. He just stared at the video feed of his daughter and felt an all-too-real physical ache in his chest. “Cora,” he said quietly. A beat. “Let us help. Please.”

She shook her head, stubbornly. "No. You were never supposed to be apart of this from the beginning anyways. I'm sorry but you, none of you, can't be apart of this mission from now on."
Anderson came up beside Cora, wrapping a protective arm around her.
"She's a stubborn gal, that's for sure. You heard the lady my friends. This is final. Don't worry Lightyear, your little girl's in good hands." He smirked.
