wait, Downloaded is up for download? I didn't see that! and i'm pretty sure i checked all three pages for that eppie! ; where is it?! well, I'm not sure, but hanging around an unresponsive (or negatively responsive) Nebula probably affected him in the long run... It's like hanging around an unresponsive friend... later or sooner you just aren't close friends anymore or friends at all... yes he definitely envies poor unknowing Booster and as for the dangers, XR has this curse or something, and manages to get all the crazy sadistic villains who have a grudge against him and would love to see him dead... you don't see Booster having a cool crazy villain!

...It's not up for download, actually. ;; No, and that's because the writers of the show think it's okay to have XR get beat up all the time just becasue he's a robot. -_-;

Poor XR, robot violence is not a crime in the BLoSC universe, apparently... Neither in the writers' heads... XD

i guess that's true...
XR: ROBOT RIGHTS!!! RIGHTS 4 ROBOTS!!! we deserve to have robot rights!!! 8O (he's probably the only robot who actually cares for rights, the other robots don't seem to care so much for freedom and justice, as long as they carry out their programmed duties... ah XR, what do we do with you? oh well, I still luvs you! ) but seriously, the organics take robots a little more or less for granted, and for XR, i guess it probably ticks him way off when they treat him like a robot. but it's not like it's the organics fault or the robots, which is why it's so sad... gah...

HOWEVER- later on, he becomes oddly closed around his 'dad'. He gets all this attention in the end of 'Return of XL' and his only response is about his still-missing AFD. I would say it's just an error on the part of the writers, but he does the same thing in 'Downloaded'. It's almost like he doesn't care any more... maybe that's why we see Commander Nebula warming up to him in 'Revenge of the Reanoks'. That is just sad. I think demanding rights would make XR all the more loveable. Of course, it could just feed into the whole "desperate for acceptance" thing...

I konw, it's heartbreaking... especially since a) none of the other characters see it at all, and therefore are no help and b) most of the people who watch the show don't see it either! becasue, you know, XR is just comic relief... -_-;;;

XR's not just comic relief-- gosh, there's so much more to him!!!
If any body's there for comic relief it's Booster... Sorry Booster fans, but he serves little purpose.
I've noticed XR being a conscious for the team sometimes... Man, I just watched this episode, and now I forget it... He's almost a "Pearl" for Commander Nebula. ANYWAY...

XR's not just comic relief-- gosh, there's so much more to him!!! I KNOW DDD: Yeah... he's probably the member of Team Lightyear with the least depth to him... I still like him, though. X3 He's just obnoxiously emotionally healthy. D:

ANYWAY... what's a Pearl? and I agree with you... poor Booster needs a bit more depth! (he's not useless, he's the muscle for the team, if only he was a bit less naive... I'm guessing that's why XR's so sarcastic around him, he sees Booster's ranger potential, but knows that he's too airheaded to use it properly) oh and i agree that XR's not just comic relief! far from that! none of the lightyear team are expendable!

Exactly! I love how they all bring something different to the team. Some area of expertise, if you will. It just wouldn't be the same without any one of them.

yep, they complete each other what with their strengths and weaknesses... ... I just thought of something... isn't XR, technically, the youngest of the group? X3
XR: nu wai! I'm lots more smarter than all of them put together! I'm not a child! I can and am old enough to drive 42 unaccompanied!

A Peal is a precious gem which isn't really a gem at all, it's a piece of sand or whatever (imperfection) caught in a clam and it gets coated in this stuff (usually white, but sometimes a blueish black) and it's fished out of the clam and stuck on necklaces and rings a jewelry crap.
But that's not to what I was referring... x3
Ever read The Scarlet Letter?
And he's not reeaally like Pearl, he just seems (at times) to be a conscience---and a reminder---for the team to keep on track, especially when he's not.
