Really? Perhaps I'll have to write that idea, then. ;D
I was mainly worried that a sentient Hornet could come off as a bit to... eh, I don't want to say Sue-ish, but that's kinda it. A little bit too far off from canon. Though I suppose it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to have a "thinking" Hornet if it was still a bit of an idiot. (I really can't picture an intelligent Hornet, heh. ^_^)

I don't believe ANYTHING can be 'too far off from canon', provided the writing works. (And if it doesn't, you could practically rewrite an episode and have it not be 'canon'.) It sounds like a really interesting idea to me (provided it's not THE MOST GORGEOUS AND BRILLIANT HORNET ANYONE HAS EVER SEEN LAWLZ)

Unless you consider a Hornet done up in white, green, and purple, with a Star Command sigil slapped on its chest, to be the most gorgeous Hornet anyone has ever seen, I think we're cool.
Unfortunately, giving a Hornet so much as a single thought would make it the most brilliant Hornet ever, but as long as it's still relatively moronic and un-gorgeous...
This must be done now. I'm off to photoshop a Hornet, woohoo.

Oh yeah. Hornets that can add 2 and 2 and not get 3 or 5 are genius!Hornets. My bad.
YAY PHOTOSHOP

Don't worry about being sue-ish. I'm sure as long as you keep that in mind, you'll adjust your Hornet accordingly and make it well-balanced. That's what I try to do with mine. They are both masters of martial arts, but everyone else in the universe knows how to use a gun. ^.^ Little bits like that.
Anyways, let me know if you ever want to roleplay or anything, I'm sure it would be a lot of fun.

Heh, I can see how martial arts masters wouldn't be very useful in a gunfight. ^_^ Nice idea.
Roleplay? Ooh, I've never really done much roleplaying before. Sounds fun. How does one go about joining/starting an RP?

Oh, just post in a thread you like in the RP section asking if you can join. Or start a thread there with characters acting out a scenario you think would be fun, and other interested parties will come and join you. Probably Eclipse'd.

Nifty, thanks. I'll have to do that, soon as I can think of a scenario...

You don't need to ask me to join, usually. I try to keep my RP's open and free for everyone who wants to join in.

*Bumped the topic again*
I actually know of a Hornet OC. She was created by Cheriestar, and I liked her...she looked exactly like a normal hornet, but she had kind of an additude...which was a perfect contrast to the other OC Cissie...
The only OC I've ever truly disliked from the get-go was my OC Stellar's mom Circe Stratus...she was such a female dog, if you get my drift...but I kept her in because she was a huge plot point...
Stellar I liked, then grew to dislike over time in the same way as Kila and XM, and now my main focus is a character I created but never really paid much attention to. You may know her as Nos-2.0 or Twoey. She's possibly my favorite OC because I often don't agree with her morals and judgement...

I... I have to admit something here that I've been holding in for a while now... I think Cheriestar's OCs could use work. I think they're a little underdeveloped personality-wise and their backstories don't really make sense to me. Phew! I feel better now. There really aren't any BLoSC OCs I really adore... Spirit and Livie have some that seem to have much, much potential but they don't do enough with the characters, y'know? Like, I want to like them, but there's so little done with them I can't really form that strong of an attachment. My all-time favorite OC is Spearmint. She's awesome.

I like XF... Even though I can't seem to settle on a design for her. As for my only other OC, Robbie Valiant... He was a good character, trapped by my not-so-good writing skills.

It was kind of the reverse with Stellar....she was just a crappy Mary Sue with good writing...
