I thought chrome was a type of metal...? Like, I think it's kinda silver, but kinda blue-ish, and it's reeeaaally shiny and stuff... Or, Am I wrong? Somebody edumacate me!

In reality it's a metal, yes. But if you use an art program like PhotoShop it's an effect for your artwork! Chicks like the sleek, metal robot...

It's real simple! Take your art layer, and use the Dodge tool (the one that looks like a darkened magnifying glass) and lightly trace the inner edge of the edges! Then use the Burn (right underneath Dodge in the dropdown menu) right alongside Dodge to get the dark context.
