Woody sighed, shaking his head. "Not so far. All we got was part of this back story. Other than that the guy's a real mystery to beat. But if we get any more info on it you'll be the first to know."
"But he's a demon. Couldn't we, I don't know, exorcize him or something?" Mira suggested, not exactly sure if something like that happens nowadays. Things like this weren't common.
"Umm...I'm not an expert on these things, so I'm clueless. But I think if he can step into a church he's not exactly exorcizing material?" He shrugged, helpless.

Buzz nodded his understanding. “I’d appreciate that. And hey, if you ever need any help, just let me know. My sister’s specialty is history – maybe she can dig something up.”
“That’s a good point,” Buzz agreed. “Besides which, I think a demon needs to be attached to a place or possessing a person to be exorcized, and Hellboy seems to operate like a normal person.”
He cast his mind back to Saturday night – craters, that was just over 24 hours ago and already it felt like forever. He jerked upright in his seat. “Guys, Hellboy did tell us who he is! Or at least, all but did! Remember? He said that, getting technical, he wasn’t an alien, and that it was complicated. Add that to his name, his appearance…” Buzz face-palmed. “I even remember figuring it out – sort of – but then all the commotion happened and I forgot about it.”
He snapped his fingers. “He also said he was paranormal law enforcement, too! He was a hero back in his day. Maybe that can help you in your research.”
He cocked his head, considering. “Maybe we could even win this thing on the psychological level,” he mused. “I mean, a hero can turn bad, but no matter what, there’s always a little piece of the hero left in him.” He shrugged.

Mira shrugged. "Who knows? This guy's been taken from his home unwillingly. If anything he'll try anything to get back to it, even revert to crime. We might not be able to stop him if Zurg has a way for him to get back."
"Or make this Hellboy think he does." Woody put in.

“I just need Zurg to get back home! What part of this do you not understand? I mean, seriously!”
"Home? I don't have a home to go to! After all this is over you'll go back to your comfortable little lives like nothing ever happened, but for me there's nothing left to go to! I'm stuck here! I'm stuck here and I can't do anything about it!"
A shiver slithered down Buzz’s spine. “I don’t think so,” he said quietly. “Back in the church, he said that he doesn’t have a home, that he’s stuck here. Which is just as bad – there’s nothing of his old life left for him, so why not just let go and take up crime?”
Craters, he was feeling the first pangs of a migraine.
And he couldn’t help comparing Hellboy to Erin. Both had been pulled into the 31st century against their will, but while one apparently felt trapped and left without a choice, the other grieved but recovered and moved on with her life. One became a heroine, the other a villain. Then again, Buzz was sure that introductory influences had a lot to do with it: Erin had been rescued by his own team, but Zurg had found Hellboy or vice versa.
That triggered a disturbing thought: what if Erin had been found by Zurg? What would’ve happened?
Zurg was apparently full capable of tainting a former hero. What could his influence have done to an impressionable girl not quite matured into adulthood yet?
Stop it, he told himself. You’re selling your sister short. Erin… Erin would never have taken the path Hellboy had. She had her… questionable… traits and opinions, sure, but then, so did Buzz. And no matter what, she stuck to what she knew was right. She was as immovable in that as Buzz himself was.
And she was too full of love. Not a possessive kind of love, although that existed in degrees, but a freely-given, overflowing love. Her heart reached out to the whole universe, even though there were still people that she could care less about. Craters, the kid would probably try to help Zurg or Hellboy, were either man in danger.
Buzz sighed and rubbed at his eyes… and yawned. “Mira, are you coming back to Star Command tonight, or are you just going to call it a night and go home? Commander Nebula put us on inactive reserve and gave us the week off.”

Mira rubbed the back of her neck irritably. "I guess I'm gonna make my way back to Star Command for a bit. I still have to write my report anyway."
"Couldn't you put that off?" Woody asked her. She shook her head and sighed.
"I'm a bit behind on paperwork. And I need to find out a bit more info at Star Command too."

Buzz nodded. “I’ll meet you there, then, Ranger Nova. Lightyear out.”
…
Erin returned it with what little energy she had. Breaking away, she leaned deeper into him and closed her eyes.
A minute later, a tapping sounded on the door. “Come in,” Erin called drowsily.
The door whooshed open, and Pastor Collin stepped into the room. “Erin, I – oh, I’m sorry. Am I interrupting anything?”
“No, you’re fine, Pastor,” Erin smiled, yawning.
Which triggered a yawn from the pastor. “Thanks. I’m so glad you’re okay. A lot of people from church were praying for you.”
Erin’s smile grew wider. “Ohhh. Would you please thank them for me?”
“Sure thing. I must admit, though, I came here for another reason.”
Erin cocked her head, curious. “Oh? What’s that?”
“Well,” the pastor smiled, “I was wondering if you two would want me to, ahem, finish, since Erin’s awake now.”

Looking up at the pastor Warp said, "I'd like for us to finish." He turned to Erin. "It is about time you woke up. I've been waiting here."

Mira turned to Woody and smiled wearily. "Thanks for your time today."
"No problem. Just glad everything went alright." Mira nodded, rubbing her arms. "Sure you're alright, Missy? There's always tomorrow to get work done. Why not just head home and tell Lightyear the same?"
She shook her head. "No, that's alright. We have the week off and I can sleep in tomorrow. I just need to finish a few things before then. Thanks again."
"See you soon." Woody smiled, walking her out of the station.

((@cherry: don’t forget about the other 2 threads, darlin’! ((KJ: I sent you a reply on your little project~!))
Recognizing the two lines, Erin rolled her eyes and smacked Warp lightly upside his shoulder. “I’d like that, too,” she told the pastor.
Pastor Collin nodded and straightened. “We left off with you two saying ‘I do.’ So… by the power vested in me, I hereby pronounce you man and wife. What God hath joined together, let no man separate.” He smiled. “Now you may kiss the bride.”

((Whooohoooo!!!!))
Warp chuckled.
"Now we're married." Warp gently caressed Erin's bangaged face and gave her another kiss. This one was different.

"No problem, Warp," the pastor smiled. "I'll see you two later. Good night."
"Good night, Pastor!" Erin called after him. "Thank you!"

"You know...I hope Buzz isn't too messed up." Warp winced at the mental picture in his mind.

Erin shut her eyes, images and sounds flashing past her mind’s eye…
…Hellboy elbowing Buzz in the face, pinning him to the floor…
…"Pathetic. You space boys are too soft for a real fight. Guess you never trained hard enough, didja?"…
…Buzz spitting out blood into Hellboy’s eyes…
…“Who’s pathetic now?”…
…Hellboy delivering a powerful blow to the side of Buzz’s head, kicking him in the small of his back…
…Buzz crying out in pain, trying to retaliate…
…Hellboy’s maneuvers that, in the end, left Buzz crumpled in a heap on the floor…
…Her own scream as she watched it happen…
…"Now it's over."…
…Buzz just… lying there, absolutely defeated…
…“I can’t do this, Erin. I’m sorry. I just can’t do this.”…
…The fierce pride she’d felt as he gradually pushed himself up onto his feet…
…"You need to go home.” Boy she didn’t understand Zurg…
…“Same for you, Red, I guess – but you owe me big now.”…
“I think he is,” Erin murmured, not opening her eyes. “And I think he’s going to be living with this one for a while.”
