Its still awesomely radical though. I didn't expect it to look this cool! Oh me of little faith! You know, I just drew me and Tyler the Grub in my sketch book, nothing compared to Eez's though.

We just got a new computer to replace the old one that went 'ca-blooy'! I may get the old one if its not completely dead. My dad just needs to put in the software for the scanner and it should be good to go. But who knows when that'll be. Blast technology, it hates me. -_-

How tall are you anyway? You don't have to tell me, I just want to know for reference.

I'm about the same height as you! That's not fair. EEZ! You draw me too short! Unless OV is wearing stilts or something... You still draw me short!

Cool drawing eez, I like the pointyness or the horn things. I like the breather idea too.
I read from the comments on deviant art that it took you a long time to color. Let me give you a few tips on making stuff shiny, for future drawings.
When something has this property, the shadows and highlight contrast each other harshly, since it's probably reflective you should be seeing at least some bounced light (that is, weaker light that bounced from another object into your subject) I mean there is bounced light in everything, but it's always more notable on reflective objects. From what I know (and this I haven't confirmed), when something is shiny the base color saturates itself greatly as it heads to the highlight.
The white highlight areas are not necessarily big, well they could be, but it depends on the object, (imagine a car, compare that to a cue ball for pool), I think this is called gloss.
When shading it helps a lot to do some kind of wire frame guiding you by the shape and depth of the object, all you will have left to do is decide where shadows start and end.
ab103 and overcast, I don't wanna spoil your fun but or anything your messages got a little off track, next time you should contact each other by pm or messenger : )

Short, Tall, it's all the same to me! *waggles index finger* The one about you Alexa just struck me as a 'you' thing! Short, evil, mad, dark.....likes to kick things. I couldn't help it! Overcast's just happened to be taller! Tell you what, the next one with you will be more accurate. Glad you liked it, OV!
As for the highlights hint, thanks. I'm going to be honest with you--might want to shield your eyes Overcast XD--but this picture was a....guinea pig of sorts. Instead of the usual layering of shadows, highlights, glows, and what not, I used Gradients and channels. Came out ok I suppose. But it takes longer if you ask me. I know how to do shiny, trust me. Shiny things are FABOO. Maybe not professionally, but I can do it! I just need inspiration...yes, that's it. *shiftyeyes* Holofoil pokemanz cards.....Oh those were the days. For more light however, I would have used the Dodge tool. But.....I figured the gradients were enough. Maybe some dodge would have been nice, now that I look at it. Maybe the burn tool too....hmmmm. I do like glossy cars.....
And they can ramble all they want on this thread, if they desire. I'm not going to summon Mephistophles and banish them to the Negaverse XD Yet....*mad cackle*

I still think it looks awesomely radical. I should add that word to my list of catch phrases! XD Like I said, I drew me in my bounty hunter suit, minus the helmet cause it looked hard, and Tyler the Grub. I think I need more stuff in the back ground though...

My BG=Nothing.....FTW! Actually, I had colored the RGB channel in the beginning, and the blasted thing wouldn't let me change it in the end product! So....dark cyan it was. *sob*
I'm proud of the helmet....but as I was told, the proportions are off. Shame on me! I'll have to revamp it later I suppose. But I need to get Alexa's down first. The grub is best part there is, though!
