I personally liked the darkness and the rain and stuff. I actually was surprised at the end. I guess a diabolical scheme that isn't clear until the very end is hard for the kids to follow. That and it's all about assassination, I doubt that's for the kiddies either.

You know, I did think the same thing about Buzz and Zurg when I first started to watch the series. They're so close to each other's thinking, it's odd!
But then, in Stranger Invasion, Zurg said he was Buzz's father but only said that to get the ranger distracted.....which totally confused me when I saw TS2 before this incident. Who knows? They both have nanas too.

I still think of Roots of Evil. Weaken the world's children by making them scared of veggies. Genius! .. Wrong episode. Anyways, I didn't think the Gargantians were that smart. Like I couldn't tell when they didn't know what the flip they were doing, and when they knew exactly what they were doing, but maybe they wanted me to think that...I'm getting confused. o.o

I personally liked the darkness and the rain and stuff. Yeah, the setting there in the middle was great. A stark contrast to what we see in most episodes.

I love the Gargantians. XD They're so clueless. Except for that one guy, who's smart, but insane.

LAWLDOUBLEPOSTanyway. Did anyone else notice that even after being promoted to Buzz's spot, Mira still won't sit in his chair?

I actually didn't notice that. o.o But now that you mention it, I don't think she could ever consider herself the leader of the team while Buzz is still around. Fugitive or not.

I think this is one more piece of evidence for Buzz/Mira... but I'm a big fan, as everyone knows.
As for Buzz repeating that he's an ex-ranger, though, it was probably a bit of bitterness and hurt feelings. I imagine that it probably really stung a lot, what happened, and he was probably just saying it because he was hurt by it, not because he wasn't still a ranger at heart.

Yeah. :/ That bugged me too. Me three. Thank you so much for posting this, Spirit! It was so great to be able to watch it. Wow. This episode is right up there with Lightyear Facor. So very dark. And intense. Few episodes of BLoSC actually have me on the edge of my seat. For some reason, it doesn't seem to - fit exactly with the rest of the series. Don't get me wrong, I really liked seeing something that went a little deeper than the show normally does, it just - almost seems like a different series in this one. *shrug* Maybe it's just me. That whole bus crash made me think of The Fugitive. X3 You notice that Buzz is always right? Throughout the whole episode, he's bent on the fact that he's beeing set up, and he is all along - he's absolutely convinced that the President is really Gargantuans in disguise, and yet when he has the chance to shoot, something makes him hesitate. I don't know - just thought that was interesting. Aw, that was so sweet. I mean, I'm never gonna give up shippin Marred, but... d'aw. :3 ...I didn't notice that. More cuteness... 83 ...Although - doesn't she sit in his chair in Lightyear Factor? I thought it was cute how she got all excited about having a team. "My first command!" XD She geeked out for a minute there. Kinda reminds me of becoming band captain. ...It's not the same thing, of course, it's just... a cool feeling. X3 Maybe it'd make him feel better for all the mistakes he'd made if someone as perfect as Buzz slipped up just a little bit... X3 Ooh, me too! So I'm not the only one who got excited when it was raining! ^^ That probably made me a little too happy, but... I dunno, I guess cuz they're usually in space, it was nice to see some atmospheric action. ;P

I mean, you know that it didn't because it's Trade World and there's Buzz, but still... it's so different from the rest of the series!

Well, she thought he'd exploded so it's a bit different I think XR definitely harbors some resentment for Buzz, whether he realizes he does or not. First, I think there might be some jealousy there, yes. Also, as team captain, XR probably consciously or subconsciously blames Buzz for putting him in situations where he gets hurt (Eye of the Tempest comes to mind), and Buzz is never all that sympathetic afterwards (besides in TaB but that almost seemed like a different Buzz altogether. Tim Allen, yuck). Buzz probably seems like a wet blanket to XR (what with his gambling-unfriendly morals). And, again, since Buzz is the one in authority, if XR ever feels like his input is being rejected or he's not being given enough to do or his job sucks compared to Mira's or Booster's, or if he thinks he's being given any sort of unfair treatment whether it's true or not, he'll blame Buzz, because Buzz is in charge. He'd probably have some degree of resentment towards anyone in charge, because of his paranoid nature, and Buzz being the UBER-RANGER just excaberates it. Incidentally, I think XR is jealous of the other two as well to some degree (passive-aggressive 'fat' comments come to mind), but since Buzz is in control and so inflexible on top of that, it really gets under his chassis.

It does seem like it's not just random that they have him so callous towards Buzz and not so much towards the other two.
To me, anyway.

... Kila, you have officially awed me with your analysis of XR. Though I'm not surprised at all that you came up with it. ;D I just saw the episode, and oh MAN, was that freaky. Freaky in a good way. I wonder what would have happened if Mira hadn't pointed out to Buzz that Nebula was doing paperwork. (Proof that the Gargantuans, despite their wicked plan, really are just stupid.) Even though Buzz's paranoia somehow ended up being right, he was wrong a few times, too; for a moment, he thought Mira, Booster, and XR were Gargantuans, and up until that one moment of hesitation he really believed the President was filled with Gargantuans. What if he'd stayed wrong, and shot? When he realized his mistake, in the future would he still believe his instincts were right, or would he never be able to trust his own judgment again? (Not that it'd matter much, since he'd probably be in jail.) Or would he snap, and still think he was right, despite being able to clearly see that the President was NOT filled with Gargantuans? Personally, I'd like to see him snap. I'm picturing a BLoSC version of the Mrs. Nesbitt scene in Toy Story... Is it just me, or am I turning out to be an official weird-topic-starter around here?

MIRA! SEE THE HAT? I AM MISS-US NES-BITT!!I'm still waiting to see XR moping around and throwing his detached arm at someone in a cowboy hat. XD Seriously though, that is an interesting thought. I don't know what Buzz would do if he wound up committing manslaughter. (Thanks for the kudos, by the way. =D)
