Teleportation isn't quite the same. Teleportation is instant, or pretty darn near. I dunno...when I do teleportation in a few of my games, it's pretty darn quick, no matter how far the distance is.
A Transpatial Warp just lessens the amount of time it takes to get from Point A to Point B. At least, that's what I got out of it. Like the Zerg in StarCraft. They traveled their fleet through wormholes to cover quick distances faster than what you would get if you just traveled the normal lightspeed. Still takes time, but its quicker and much more tactical. Still not instant, though.
I don't know! Now I'm getting confused while typing this XD
Hmmm...maybe it's because teleportation requires that the intended traveler be dematerialized, recreated, or transmitted. In a sense, they must be broken down in order to rearrange themselves somewhere else. That's the hypothetical aspect, anyway. This is an intense study.

I think a transpatial warp is when you tear the very fabric of the universe apart to go from one place to the other, like wormholes. You can travel through a wormhole with an entire spacecraft full of people to another place in space. Teleportation, however, I think, isn't merely restricted in traveling in space like with wormholes. And I think it's more of a solo business, like only one person at a time being able to teleport from one place to the other.
Though I bet someone who knows more about quantum physics or whatever it's called could explain this better. XDD

LOL. Now we're thinking in portals. >D
I wish I knew somebody who knew about this stuff...

For you literary people out there, a Transpasial warp is the same thing as a Tesseract in "A Wrinkle in Time."
This is probably one of my very favorite "Sequel episodes". I thought that Strange Invasion was fantastic, and I was actually surprised to see this episode surpass it...And man, I would LOVE to shake hands with the writer who thought of using "The Bubble of Torment" in this episode...
Oh, and that "catching the missle in midair" thing made me go "WHOA!" and I actually watched it frame by frame after that...it was awesome...

Tesseracts, the only thing in "A Wrinkle in Time" that stuck with me. XD Thanks for the explanation.
I wanna know where the entire Bubble of Torment idea came from. It's just fantastic.

Oh yeah! You just can't come by ideas like that out of pure chance...
