Okay, so... she kissed her old boyfriend. Naturally~! Don't mean she won't or can't get a new one~!
Diana, I think you've made some of the best arguments for the Marred case that I've ever seen (and believe me, I've seen a LOT). You should check into joining the Marred board, too - I'm sure they'd love to have you~!
I don't think XR wanted Mira to snake-dance. I think he was trying - in his awkward, purely XR kind of way - to say that he liked her.

The problem with Diana's arguments is that I could just replace those names and they would still make sense. 42 and Savy are not really open on their emotions as well, Savy is excused for her crying because, REALLY people, she's a KID! On her case though she's also agressive and also a troublemaker (streetpunk) etc. etc. These are just two characters to show an example of. And I wouldn't really consider XR low on self-esteem, just look at the way he brags all the time. Of course he's scared of Nos and all but... nah, he's definitely not low on self-esteem. Especially when his team is around. And I say team as in the "whole team" and not just Mira, and maybe even more Booster there. I'd guess he'd be more anxious if Booster was gone than if Mira was gone. Mostly because she's hardcore and really nothing for him to worry about and also because she would steal his Victoria's circuits magazine and burn it. All these characeteristics used PRO-Marred are really general and don't really concentrate on just the two of them - if you get my drift. I doubt you do though - wheee biased fangirls Oh yes, sidenote: I don't mind Marred and I like platonic relationships (See Mulan/Mushu, Diego/Sid or XR/Booster - and before anyone gets the wrong impression again, PLATONIC IS NOT ROMANCE, and all the points that were raised in Diana's post are signs of a solely plantonic relationship). I just don't get why this couple just as it is, is so popular. I really only think, it's because XR and Mira are both regular characters that we know both, and all the other characters to, let's say "compete" with either of them, were in the most cases 1 or 2-episode people (which makes them hard to judge, really - don't be so prejudiced). But I really see no reason beyond that, that would make Marred "great" or "better than anything else". And believe me, I'd be really more comfortable with Marred fans if they wouldn't just go around and diss every other option.

You make excellent points Levy. I don't really agree with them, but they are good nonetheless. Alas, you can't win them all over... I do fully respect you views though, and have fully enjoyed your arguments.
So what's your favorite BLOSC pairing, or any pairing for that matter? There must be some pairing out there about which you are a, as you put it, "biased fan-girl."
Oh, and to Skyfire, Thanks! I've already signed on to the Marred board!

Well, if you really want to know ~ After all these years I STILL have an open vote, lol xD I just can't decide between XR/Savy and XR/42 x3 It's like my fav Fanon and my fav Canon pairing, lol xD I just used these two as an example in my post because I couldn't think of anything else though, and all the other options in the poll are OCs. And really there aren't all that many girls in BLoSC. I recall someone once mentioning XR or Buzz and "Sally", the waitress from Cosmo, but since she's a regular but minor character I guess people forgot about her. Also despite One-episode main characters who get their rough character-development as fast as possible, minor characters rarely get one at all. At the point of view - 42 is my fav yes. I like her as a character and don't really care for her part in the relationship. A lot of people really just hate her because they like XR and don't consider it right what "she did to him", nevertheless no one ever bothers to look at both sides of the medal. Now why do I like 'such a b- not nice person'? Well her reaction to XR's 'eternal love' is the most mature to all that you get see in this series, because Happy Endings are not to be taken granted anymore. Her view is rather realistic and if I dare to say so. Realistic and mature - TOO mature for XR. You could prolly figure that XR and 42 just bounced off each other because HE is so immature and SHE's just all dead-serious. If this couple would have gone on 42 would have been THE MAN in it for serious, and it wouldn't have lasted long either way, but that is no reason for me not to like it. I also don't say that they should get back together at any time (seriously that would just ruin the meaning of the breakup in itself), however I think that XR and 42 interaction 'after that incident' might lead to new challenges. And yet (or thus?), I am not a 'shipper' at all. I try to avoid Romance fanfics all the way and just settle for "General", "Angst" "Humor" or "Adventure". And these are actually really hard to find. I tend to be lucky in the "Angst" section with Nos, but other than that... The sad thing is, this doesn't solely concentrate on BLoSC. I just recently joined the Ice Age fandom and from the 270 fanfics there, I only read those with an at least interesting Summary that was NOT about coupling someone up or a Self-insert Mary Sue entering the movie. In the end I found about 9 of those interesting (most of those discontinued) and faved a whole amount of 4 - isn't this... encouraging?

I see what you mean. Still don't like 42, but oh well.
So Ice Age huh? Thats cool! Manny's my favorite! Oh, and I know what you mean about the Mary-Sue thing. I stayed in this archive for Monsters vs. Aliens for a few months, and got so fed up with all the poorly-developed monster mary-sues with all the unknown origins, cool powers, and practically no weaknesses! Bor-ing!
