“Aww, thanks, guys!” Petra smiled self-consciously.
Erin laughed and squeezed Petra in a brief hug one more time, then…
Erin raised an eyebrow in amusement. “Really? I guess wedding-crashes are included in that ‘perfection’?” She wiggled her eyebrows mischievously.
Buzz nodded. Hesitated, then… Eh, what the hey. He pulled Warp into a brief hug. Pulling back away, he said quietly, “I’m happy for you and Erin, Warp.” He glanced over at the three young women, then returned his attention to his old partner. “But it’s funny how… it’s kind of hard. To give her away.”

Mira nodded. "Yep. As long as we get to kick butt in heels, nothing's better than that."

"Thanks a ton, Buzz." He replied after his partner and friend had pulled back.
"I'm sure that it is. You look on her as you sister and you love her as such. Just as you do the rest of the team." Guesturing to the circle of people that seemed to have Erin and Mira as the unofficial center, Warp said, "This is what family is supposed to be. No one care about the other's past, only about their future, and God is at the center of all of that." He gave Buzz a lop-sided smile. "Just don't fall to pieces on me during the cerimony, okay? It wouldn't look too good."

“Oh-hooo yes, nothing’s better than that,” Erin laughed. “And speaking of heels, you wanna help me get changed?”
“I can help, too,” Petra immediately volunteered.
“Oh, honey, why don’t you rest?” Erin told her. “You look peaked.”
Buzz gave a slight laugh. “Warp Darkmatter – when did you get to be so smart?”
Buzz nodded, smirking. “I’ll fall to pieces on XR instead – he can handle it.”

"Hmm. That would be when one yound lady along with a certain bunch of people came along and finally woke me up with a second chance." Warp responded in a matter of fact way.
It was Warp's turn to chuckle as he said, "Yeah, he wouldn't even catch you and then he'd make an unnecessary comment." He paused. "Do you think I should bother to change? I mean, it would be nice if I had something to wear to the reception."

"Yeah, we should get started on that now. We don't have much time to waste." Mira lead Erin towards the back, where the set up a sort of make-shift changing area. "No peaking boys!" She called over her shoulder half heartedly.

Warp caught Mira's comment and couldn't help but wonder what Erin would look like all dressed up. He went back to that one summer evening when they'd first meet and that gave him an idea but somehow this was going to be different.
((Where'd everyone go?))

((Sry, KJ - TERRIFICALLY LOUSY connection again. *screams in frustration*))
“I was joking,” Buzz muttered.
Buzz shook his head and shrugged helplessly. “It’s up to you.”
Both Buzz and Erin blushed. In the changing area, Erin quickly pulled off her spacesuit and stuffed the pieces into a plastic bag. As she carefully withdrew her wedding gown from her duffel, she looked up at Mira and explained, “I’m leaving my bodysuit on, and I’ll just put the dress on over it. And I’d like the bag with my uniform to be up on the front pew, so that when the crash happens, I can just pull off my dress and get back into uniform. I can do it in thirty seconds, so it should be no problem.” ((Oh, and KJ, I've got a little MV surprise for you once my connection is working again! ;D))

((Well it's good to hear from you again. ;D))
"Just saying." Warp shrugged.
Warp let out a puff of air as he glanced around the church. "Thanks, that helps. I suppose I should try to make this as normal as possible. I can always jump back into uniform." He headed back out to the ship. "I'll be right back. Watch out the window will ya?"

Mira looked at her like she grew a second head. "You really want to fight on your wedding night?" Mira sighed, taking the dress and smoothing it out.
"I thought it would be better if you and Warp made a getaway while everyone else fights. I don't see any reason why there has to be so much grief if something bad happens tonight. Don't you want a long marriage with Warp then a short one? They're after you two, remember?"

((stupid security issues.))
Warp fought to keep himself from looking down the street as he stepped cautiously down the snow-covered steps. One thing he couldn't help however was that sixth sense that only people in certain occupations seem to develop, and it was keeping him on his toes as he reached into the backseat seat of the rental for his plastic covered suit.
Glad I brought the plastic. Wouldn't want this suit to get all wet. Warp grinned with satisfaction as he climbed back up the stairs of the church yet again. Snow had started to fall once again and it only lacked a healthy wind to turn it into a blizzard. He stopped as he reached the door and gave in to his urge to check the street. Only one thing had changed, the all of the traffic had disappeared.
Warp checked his watch before stepping back inside the church. The calm before the storm. How ironic. It had only been a couple of minutes.

“Sure thing,” Buzz nodded. It didn’t take Warp long, and by the time he was back inside, the snow was thick and the traffic was down to nil.
Buzz stepped over to his old partner and glanced out the window. “Cold, huh?”
“That’s why I have to fight,” Erin told her. “Warp and I can’t keep running forever… and I wouldn’t want to, anyway.” She took the dress back from Mira and started to slip it over her head, her voice muffled as she said, “And nobody’s going to die or anything.” Her head popped out from the dress, and she smiled faintly. “We’ve got prayer insurance.” Letting the smile go, she said seriously, “We’ll all be just fine, Mira, okay? We will.”

"Whatever you say," Mira said, doubtfully. "But so much as a laser grazes you or Warp you guys are getting out of here. No questions asked. Head towards Star Command. Somewhere far enough away from here so Red or Zurg can't get you."
She shook her head, her eyes betraying of what happened last night. "Red seemed like such a nice guy." She confessed. "But trust me, he's strong, and knows his way around a fight. And even if he is good, he seems like the person who will do anything to get what he wants. And Zurg's the one to give it to him. And before you say anything, there is no reasoning when a guns being pointed at you."
She sighed when she looked at Erin. "Hon, you do go through everything the hard way." Then she laughed. "Look your dress is all ruffled. You're supposed to step into it, not pull it over your head. Well the deed's done, come here let me help."

"Yeah, just a bit. It's definitely getting colder by the minute though." Warp dusted the small amount of accumulated snow off his shoulders. "Are Erin and Mira still in there?"

“Yup.” Buzz gave a slight laugh. “The one time Erin can get away with taking forever getting dressed.”
Erin opened her mouth to protest, then stopped when she really looked at Mira.
A large shiver skittered down Erin’s spine, shaking her visibly. She merely nodded.
“Well, it was supposed to be able to be pulled over the head since it’s not that fancy,” Erin defended herself. But she submitted to Mira without further comment.
