Mira snuggled her head into the crook of his neck, ignoring the parts of his suit that poke her face.
"Then let's just go to bed. The others will understand. They know we've been up for about twenty-four hours. They know that we just lost..." She took a long, shivering breath, "Cora. So let's just head into one of 42's cabins and sleep this nightmare off for a few hours."
She wrapped her arms around his neck, closing her eyes. "And I know you're a traditionalist and you'd like to keep everything normal before, you know, we get married. But....I don't think I can sleep alone."
She bit her lip, hard. A small amount of blood seeped through her teeth, caressing her tongue as she thought about a night alone in a room, nightmares Cora being tortured or whatnot distressing her all night long.
"I know I can't sleep alone. I'll dream about her. I...I don't want to dream about anything that terrifying. Not now....please." She pleaded into his neck. "Just for tonight. Please?"
((Sorry for not being on so much guys. I've been doing final projects for school this week and probably next week as well. I will be on regularly after the 17th tho!))

((Aww, s’okay. I was wondering what happened to you, tho! *hugs*))
Buzz squeezed his eyes shut, stroking Mira’s hair. His mind whirred through a dozen arguments and scenarios, and in the end, just two facts mattered. The woman he loved, the woman he was going to marry… didn’t want to sleep alone. And the principle of not sleeping with a woman until the wedding… was something that had been drilled into him long ago, as immovable a principle as “don’t steal.”
He sighed. Why did life have to be so doggone complicated?
He opened his eyes. “I’ll be on the floor,” he murmured. “Deal?”

((Yeah, sorry about that. I'll try to be on tomorrow morning tho!))
Mira sighed dis-pleasingly. But rather than say anything she took what she had. At least he was going to be in the same room as her; she wasn't going to be sleeping alone.
"Alright Mr. Goody-two-shoes, you win. But at least drag in one of the other mattresses from the other cabin? I don't think you'd get a good sleep onto a cold metal floor."
She let go of him, but took hold of his hand, just in case.
"Now let's go before the Commander gets here. I don't want this to be awkward."

"I'm sure you do, sweetheart." Warp winked at Erin as he rose from his seat and stuck his head out into the hallway, only to have nearly taken off by a speeding McKean and his load from Cosmo's.
"SorryI'mtooksolongsirbut therewasatonoftrafficatCosmo'sandI didn'twanttoberudesoIjustwaited." The young ranger blurted out, not bothering to take a breath. "Here'stheordersir."
Warp blinked, tried briefly to unscramble the message he had just been given and then blinked again. "...Good job, McKean." He said taking the load of food from the younger Ranger. "You're dismissed, and if Crocket gives you any grief, tell him to give me a call." Warp turned and re-entered the briefing room, ignoring Buzz and Mira. "Okay, team, this should hold us over for a little while. Enjoy." He placed the meal on the table and took his seat again.

King Nova arched an eyebrow at Warp. “Your authoritative manner leaves something to be desired, Darkmatter,” he said airily, picking up a cup and inspecting it.
Ricki bent over the bags and started rummaging through them. “French fries, breakfast burgers… yup, looks good.”
“I’ll just have fries,” Erin told her. “I’m not all that hungry.”
Ricki cast her a sympathetic look. “I’ll bet. Here.” She handed her partner the appropriate package.
“Thanks.”

“Right,” Buzz nodded, leading the way back to the launch bay. “And if you think a cold metal floor is bad, you oughta try cold damp ground.” He shivered slightly in remembrance. “Not fun. Woke up with a cold the next morning, so I was kinda grouchy when we finally made the arrests.” He smirked. “Then Warp caught it from me and had it worse. He was being a royal pain at the time—well, more so than usual—so I didn’t feel all too sorry about it.”

Mira laughed, enjoying the story and the comfort of his hand in hers. It wouldn't be long before they could enjoy life as a real couple. They hardly had the time to become a real one with all that was happening lately. Just one date so far through the whole process of finding out they were going to be married with two kids.
She smiled to herself, squeezing his hand. "Let me guess, he still holds a grudge for that?"

Buzz squeezed her hand back, enjoying the feel of her slender hand in his big one. “Nah, I’d be surprised if he did. Warp’s not bad at holding grudges, but that was a long time ago—fifteen or so years. He did let me hear all about it at the time, though.”

Intertwining their fingers together, Mira followed Buzz into 42. She was ready for fall asleep right then and there, but she waited till Buzz got the extra mattress into the room.
"Think we can get away with a full eight hours?" She smiled, taking off her armor layers.

Warp considered King Nova for a moment, wondering just how he should respond. "Well, you're right of course, your majesty. But that's been the case for the past 20 years or so...And I'm sure that we all have the same general problem, just in different areas." He allowed a slight grin as he reached for one of the drinks and began to consume it.
Maybe I shouldn't have ordered so much. Warp mused as he watched the other Rangers around the table, and realized that Booster was probably the only one who was going to eat anything substantial. Then again, there was the chance that they were going to be here for quite some time. Better just leave it. If it gets cold, we can warm it up.

The King sniffed disdainfully and took a sip from the coffee cup he held. And subsequently made a slight face. “Hmm, a bit weak,” he mused.
Buzz snorted as he fixed the mattress. “I’ll be happy with four.” He removed his armor and stacked it methodically in a corner before flinging himself onto the mattress and exhaling explosively. “Night, Mira.”

Warp couldn't help but chuckle at King Nova's reaction. Just something about the Tangean Royal making that kind of a face about a drink was amusing to him. His eyes roved around the room until he located the coffee pot. Glancing at Erin, he wondered if he should try out a verbal nudge on Buzz's future father in law, or just go make a pot of coffee.
"Would you like to try Star Command turpentine, your highness?"

"G'night." Mira grumbled into her pillow. It felt so good to feel a soft mattress under her instead of a rickety old chair she had a night ago. Moving to her side she curled up, falling into a deep sleep.
"Are you awake yet, darlin'?" Mira opened her eyes and was surprised to find herself in another room. Buzz and the gray titanium walls were gone, replaced by a soft sky blue and lots of lots of chairs.
"Uggg....where am I?" She said, but it wasn't really her moving her lips. Someone else was. And that someone else had a raspy voice like they were yelling for far too long.
"Shhh....spoilers dear. Can't give away the surprise for the audience now, can I?" She looked up and both Mira and the mysterious voice gasped.
"Anderson? What in the rings of Saturn are you doing here?" That last bit wasn't Mira, but the voice now sounded less raspy and more like someone she knew. She just couldn't place her finger on it...
"My, my, you haven't changed much, have you?"
"Considering it's only been a week since we've seen one another, no."
Anderson clicked his tongue while fiddling with his hat. "A week for me dear girl, yes, but it's been months for you, hasn't it?"
Mira could tell that the mysterious, girl apparently, furrowed her brows. "Well, why are you here anyways? Don't tell me bad news...
"No, nothing like that. Your parents and everyone else are fine. Your father sent me here himself to tell you that."
"Uh-huh." The girl snorted. "So he sends someone he hates to tell his little girl he's fine? Cut the crap, Anderson, why are you really here?"
Anderson chuckled, leaning back in one of the chairs. "You have a lot of spunk for someone who just woke up out of a coma."
"And whose fault was that?"
Anderson tugged on his collar. "Yes, well anyways what I told you was all true. Your father did send me back, but not just to tell you everything is all fine and dandy on his end. They're not, by the way. He still needs those cubes and you've been very naughty in not getting them. He expected you back by now and you've been very disobedient." "I've been busy. You know, Evil Overlord, a Hell Man trying to kill us, ME GETTING DRUGGED INTO A COMA!"
Anderson clasped his ears shut and flinched away. "I said I was sorry, what more do you want? Well, telling my the look you're giving me, a lot more. Well, the other reason might clear for that. He sent me to help you. Now don't say a word or I'll have to punish you again. You're getting too chummy with the people in this time period. It's making you fall off course with your mission. And it will also make it that much harder to leave back to your time."
The girl stayed quiet for a while.
"Come now. Don't be like that. You had a lot of fun here but you need to grow up and take control of the situation. Now let's get you dressed into something a little more civilized. I brought you another suit and also, Cora, there's someone I'd like you to meet...
Mira woke up gasping for air. Looking around she was still in the same room she fell asleep in. Cursing to herself she scooted out of bed and kicked Buzz in the side; as gently as a woman in rage could. Besides he would just have to get used to it if he wanted to marry her.
"Buzz get up! Those four hours have got to wait!"

King Nova arched an eyebrow. “I beg your pardon?”
“Never mind, sir,” said Erin, rising from her seat. “I can make you some stronger coffee—be back in a minute.” And just like that, she was gone.
“Wha-what?!” Buzz sat bolt upright. “Mira, what the galaxy!”

She threw on her suit, ignoring him for the moment. "I'll explain once we get down the hall. Come on, hurry and get your suit on!"

With a frustrated growl, Buzz hurried into his suit, everything but his gloves on in under thirty seconds. He pulled on the gloves as he followed Mira back out of the cruiser. “So, you want to tell me why you’re acting like Capital Planet just got nuked?”
