They just seem like totally different characters to me.

They do actually. Well sure they have the same thought pattern. All work and no play till the job is done. But the BLoSC Buzz has a side of humor and besides, his voice is better (no offense Tim Allen xD). And Zurg has a HUGE difference from movie to show as well. It's like Pixar did a total revamp on the characters before launch

I dunno...I rather like Zurg's whiney voice in BLoSC xD
He's not as...intimidating. Besides, kiddies enjoy it when he goofs up and makes a complete fool of himself. I know I do!

Well, I think that was partly because Tim Allen was still donig his voice then.

Good question! I picked "yes, for all of the above reasons." I see BLoSC Buzz as a different character than TS Buzz because, well, they ARE in different universes. Even the opening shows TS Buzz sitting down to watch himself in the cartoon. Too many levels of reality! It hurts! Plus, TS Buzz is a toy. He's based off of the BLoSC Buzz. I think TS Buzz started out with pretty much the same personality as the BLoSC Buzz, since he thought he was the real Buzz. (In fact, I think that's one of the reasons the BLoSC show is so appealing. It just fits with the TS universe.) But then, when he realized he was a toy, TS Buzz started to change. So, TS Buzz and BLoSC Buzz are two different characters. ...Wow. Did that make any sense whatsoever?

Perfect sense, actually. I agree completely.

It made sense BG; I agree with you. Loony Toy Buzz did act a bit like BLoSC Buzz. Even then though they both share some common physical and behavior features but yet are still kind of different.
And hate to blow your tops but I prefer Tim Allen's voice anyday (which is why I hardly watched this show when it first aired) and I personally don't find BLoSC's Buzz as funny as Toy Buzz. He's a little too serious.

I think that BLoSC Buzz is different because of his completely different circumstances. In the first Toy Story (I haven't seen the second) he acted like all the toys were naughty children that he had to keep in line until the very end. In the show he's almost always in (pardon my saying so) "duty mode".
