So, I just saw WALL-E today for my birthday (which was yesterday, I'm 13!), and I've decided to write a little fanfic from Eve's point of view. Enjoy! Takes place after the movie. Wall-e+Eve.
Chapter 1:Trapped
I gently tapped Wall-e on his then retracted head, which is my way of telling him to get up. He groggily raised his head and turned to look at me with a tired glance. Yeah, he was still half-asleep. I helped him get his treads on and followed him outside. You see, Wall-e runs on solar energy, so he needs to go outside every morning to capture UV rays, otherwise he'll be tired and irritable, not to mention quick to shut down. After he finished recharging, he took off towards who knows where, so I followed him. He led me to a robot repair shop, apparently looking for new parts, but at the time I hadn't noticed that he was browsing the EVE model aisle. So while I was looking at the parts directory, he surprised me by coming up to me and offering the latest EVE model upgrade chip to me. I was so happy! So I took it from him and turned to give it to the checkout person, but he wasn't there! I hadn't been paying attention to the time, so when I glanced outside, I was surprised to see that it was nighttime. Suddenly, all the lights in the store switched off and all the doors closed, locked! We were trapped for the night! Oh, this is just great, I thought to myself, annoyed. Just then, I felt a light tap on my arm, and looked to see Wall-e, shivering. I could tell he was scared, and gave him a hug to calm him down. "Ee-vah," is all he said to me, which is how he says my name. I looked around the store, seeing all these spare parts, most of them from old robots, and I found it unsettling, for some reason. I'll never admit it to Wall-e, but I was kind of scared to sleep in that store, with all those spare parts surrounding me, it just made me nervous for some reason. Wall-e and I found a comfortable spot in the store, and he fell asleep almost immediately. I, on the other hand, lay awake, shivering. I have advanced temperature sensors, and according to them, (this all happened in the middle of a nighttime cold spell) it was -36ºC,* so I was VERY unhappy. I hate cold weather. Alot. But somehow I finally got to sleep...
I was awakened by a light tapping on my head. Groggily, I raised my head and opened my eyes. I partially shut them because of the sunlight shining through the windows. Apparently, Wall-e had already charged up via said sunlight, and wanted me to get up, but I was still tired because I hadn't gotten enough sleep, and was about to go back to sleep, when Wall-e pointed at a door marked "Shower Room." Why a shower room would be in a robot repair shop, I don't know, but I didn't care at the time, I opened the door and sped inside, shutting the door behind me. I was (and still am, LOL.) very grateful that I was built to be waterproof, because oh my god, a hot shower never felt oh so good until that day. It really helped me to wake up and face the new day. When I was finished with my shower, I dried myself off and came back into the main store. When the main doors opened and the checkout person came in, I almost sped out, but then I remembered the upgrade chip. I paid for it, had it installed, and left with Wall-e to have a romantic stroll in the park.
Please comment and tell me what you think!
P.S., *Is celsius the correct temp. measure to be using?
