X.F. The eXperimental Female. Background: After a particularly bad date, XR decides he's had enough of the dating game, so he decides to build his ideal girl. Using his own schematics as a base, he manages to build a functioning female robot. The twist? Due to a slight error in programming, she thinks he's her dad! Personality: Somewhat ditzy, playful. EXTREMELY flirty. She is weak and can't really defend herself. She worships her "father", and thinks he can do no wrong. She is aligned with whoever XR is at the time. Slight Oedipus complex. Abilities: Very rudimentary hand to hand, but not much more. Appearance: She is based off of XR, but he's not too good with building from scratch. She looks like XR, but with a slightly taller torso to accommodate her feminine figure. Due to the dimensions XR used, she was topheavy, and prone to falling. To remedy this, he installed a third forward leg on her. Her arms are similar to his, and her head is a spherical one, with eyes like his, but reversed green/yellow, and eyeshadow. On her cheeks are painted on pink "blush". It is contained in a dome with brown painted cut steel covering 3/4 of it to simulate hair. There are some exposed seams with rivets showing, and there is a gap of exposed wiring between her arms and torso. Comments and constructive criticism welcome!

Pffft, she sounds like a bit of a Frankenstein's monster. ;D Well, feminized versions of main characters/love interests/offspring of canon chars can often turn out very bad OCs, but it depends on how they're written, of course; I'd have to see XF in action to see how good an OC she'd really be. I like how her design is so impractical. What would an XR-like bot with a "feminine" figure look like? It sounds... lumpy. And I imagine her "hair" is gonna be annoying; she won't be able to see to her sides or behind herself at all, will she? That'd completely destroy her peripheral vision... Heck, she could be walking (rolling?) down the street for half an hour with Zurg on one side and a pack of Hornets on the other and never notice a thing. What's her role among the main characters gonna end up like? Is she built under the auspices of Star Command (or at least with their knowledge), and does she end up another experimental Ranger? (I expect she'd be pretty bad at the job...) If so, does she end up on Team Lightyear or with some other team? Then again, that'd be the really obvious approach. Maybe the LGMs keep her around to poke around her programming and see how her brain compares to XR's and XL's? Or did XR build her in secret and keep her in hiding so no one knows about her? Or does she move to Rhizome, become a hippie-monk, and never come back again? ...Well, I think it'd be funny. Oedipal hippie-monk robot! Poor XR, though. Wanted a girlfriend and ended up with a daughter. Then again... if XR thinks of her as his ready-made bride and nothing else, and if XF thinks of him as her father but has an Oedipus complex, does that mean XR still gets a girlfriend? Cue the baffled and slightly creeped out looks from Team Lightyear when they hear about the marriage plans. Anyway, she sounds like she could be an interesting character, but there are still quite a few ways her character could end up being "just another BLoSC robot OC." But then again, there's that same danger in almost every writing idea. Oh, and I just remembered: the Oedipus complex is used to describe situations where sons have weird attachment issues to their mothers. If it's a daughter who has a weird attachment issue to her father, it's called an Electra complex. Oedipus is just more well-known, apparently. (That psychology class I took forever ago is still being useful. <3 Yay!)

The idea is she's a sort of hobby project for XR, who is trying his best to "feminize" his own body type on a limited budget (his salary), and so she's not too well designed or executed. She's a secret at first, but then XR unveils her to the rest of Team Lightyear, who are underwhelmed at his creation. She's really just an odd idea I had, and had to write out before I forgot it. She's really a bit of a freeloader off of XR, to answer the question of her role. She lives in his quarters with him, where he built her. I'm unsure where she'll end up, but I'm leaning to either "dead" or "surrogate daughter", though ending up paired with XR isn't entirely out of the question.
