... I made an OC. Aren't I cool. Now everyone will carry me away cheering, right? Right. ANYWAYYYY this chick has little to no information at le momento, but let's imagine, shall we? Name: Hasn't though of one yet, sorries. Species/Nationality: Roboto... (Domo Arigato...) Good or evil?: Unknown. Probably good. Maybe evil. I DON'T KNOW, okay? YOU figure it out. lol. No but seriously now. Physical Description/Appearance: i153.photobucket.com/albums/s214/Tammi94/robotchick.png , Because I'm unoriginal. Anyway, I like to think she's taller than XR, like, maybe by a half inch, but I guess her design needs to change a little for this to happen, so... -_-; But she's made out of, approximately, 15 different types of metals, but they all have similar properties. Personality: Has low self esteem, but sort of hides it. Not that there's usually anyone to hide it from... She's pretty nasty to people, even if it isn't justified, trying to balance out the hate in herself with the hate in other people. I'm thinking star command will fix this, but that might be a little cliched... But anyway, if anyone finds her out (finds out that she doesn't actually honestly hate people, and that it's herself she hates) she'll be all quite toward them. She's pretty transparent, too. You can see right through her, and this makes her feel worse because she knows it. Obedient, flexible, pretty typical. But I'm not finished with her, so we'll see. History: She rents herself out for experimentation. She's basically a metal lab-rat. Scientists try new things on her, and replace parts, and replace parts, and replace parrts, so she's really mismatched, she'll rent herself out to anyone who'll take her on the condition that she can stay with them. So, yeah, what I figure will happen is that someone will use some star command parts and whatnot that they somehow obtained (black market?) and so she gets sent there, and since she has star command parts she has to work for star command, but I'm still figuring it all out. P: Also, one of the sources of her self-dislike is her hands, which aren't hands, they're clamps. So she can't do hand things like typing or waving or tickling or anything like that. She hopes that someone will eventually replace them. ALSO she really has no idea how she works, or how other robots work because her computer brain is, like, a computer from the nineties only with more memory and less green. xD Abilities: Moving boxes. Moving things. Moving, moving all day long. This will most likely change. Probably definitely. Other: Uh...Right now? Nothing. Suggestions? Comments? Critique? Compliments? *waggles eyebrows* Anyone?

For some reason, her personality isn't one I'd match with her job, at least, not as an over-arcing personality. Personally, I'd give her a quirk due to the mix & match of parts, maybe something similar to Batty Koda's affectation of a somewhat wonky, shifting personality that isn't quite schizophrenia. But, that's probably just me.

I just think if she rented out her body for experimental stuff, she'd have some kind of physical or mental quirk/disability from something going wrong at some point. But that's me.

Not necessarily, some people actually know what they're doing when they work on a robot... but you're right, it's an interesting possibility.

Uh, that's not exactly a law of physics...

Lol *falls over* For some reason, her personality isn't one I'd match with her job, at least, not as an over-arcing personality. Personally, I'd give her a quirk due to the mix & match of parts, maybe something similar to Batty Koda's affectation of a somewhat wonky, shifting personality that isn't quite schizophrenia. But, that's probably just me. That could certainly be interesting, but I wouldn't go as far as to make her schizophrenic, exactly, although...maybe... It just seems like it could be misinterpreted to just be a cover-up for a boring personality, though it wasn't with Batty Koda, I think I'll develop her actual personality and then see how schizophrenia fits in, lawl. Thanks for the suggestion. =] Not necessarily, some people actually know what they're doing when they work on a robot... but you're right, it's an interesting possibility. Well, as true as this is, I imagine she'd really rent herself to anyone, like even kids and people who need robots to do specialized things (like peel potatoes or something,) and so they add things so she can do the actual job, and then when it's done, they sometimes probably leave the attachment with her. But again, I don't know. I imagine having a robot who is willing to be experimented on for a low price is probably a really rare thing, so who knows? Maybe mechanics are just fighting over her. Although if she's ever involved in a story, that most likely won't be the case...But it is an interesting idea... Thanks for the input, guys. I really appreciate it.

I'm just 'gonna do this in a new post, because it doesn't really relate. Well, it kinda does. Aw, heck. I just wanted to ramble and add some stuffs and whatnot. Eye colour: Grey/green? >~<;; Sex: Female Parents: None, but I feel like she should have some kind of "family" (even if they're not related?) like maybe a Jazz and Will kind of thing, only she'd be the Jazz? Who'd be the Will? I don't really have any inspiration for another character right now. -_-; Oh, by the way, if you really don't know what I'm talking about: i78.photobucket.com/albums/j104/booxbowm/Jeffrey-Townes--Will-Smith.jpgPast love: None. SHE'S SO ALONE. Future love: Uh...No-one? She doesn't really seem like the type of person who'd want a good relationship or really any kind of relationship where she has to work at it, but I dunno. If I had one decided or her, could this help figure out her personality? Same goes for friends? Habits: These will have to wait until personality is more developed, because seriously. But again, if I thought of these first, could they help with the personality? What do you think? Why am I asking you all these questions? WHAT'S THE CAPITAL OF LOUISIANA?! Allies: This un-named Will character, and eventually la Space Rangeros. Enemies: I...Don't...Know...Yet. This will *have* to wait until I develop the personality more. Future Fate: So, alright, I have this idea. Like, you know how I said she has to come to Star Command because of the Star Command parts, correctumundo? And also she feels all bad about herself because of lack-of-purpose? (and whatnot?) WELL. So what's going to happen is TEEEAM LIGHTYEEEAR pretty much come in and get her (well, it's their job. PROTECT FROM EEVILL) because of the illegal parts because everyone thinks she stole them, and I mean, who wouldn't? She has them INSIDE HER. And so she goes to Star Command and gets a job (What job? I don't know. Put I picture the LGMS taking her measurements to get some crucial mechanics, that she doesn't have, in order to work on Star Command, but what could she need them for? }=/ ) and acts all angry toward everyone, 'specially Team Lightyear, for dragging her there, when actually she's really unbelievably grateful toward them that they actually brought her to where she's found her purpose, finally. CAPS ARE FUN. Relationships: I think I basically described this in the above paragraph. *looks up* Yep, yes I did. Anyway, with the given information, what would you change? What would you add? I CRAVE FEEDBACK. Positive or negative. I seriously have nothing to think about during school...

Her features make think of a robot with parts from WALLE and facials from Gir and WALLE and XR. But that's just me. If you're still looking for a name, I might be able to help. Human or robotic?

Hmmmm I did think of WALL-E a little bit when I saw designing her. A little bit. A tiiiny bit. Well, no, actually, it crossed my mind for like a split second, but I can still see where you get it. I can definitely see where you get Gir, too (though I've ever actually seen ONE episode of Invader Zim...) but I don't see XR. I mean, she's supposed to be a robot from BLoSC (although now that I think about it the only thing I can really put together are the limbs and the face.. But it was a rough sketch. Everything's rough.) so that could be it, but could you be a little more specific? And yeah, I'm still looking for a name. At first I thought something along the lines of "Francine" because of the element Francium, but Francium disappears extremely quickly when exposed to air, I found out, and also the name reminds me of Arthur. :/ Either. Any. Or. I considered both, because she's a robot, but I think that her original creator didn't name her something robot-ey because she wasn't specifically created for something in particular, but it could be anything, maybe the owner DID in fact give her a practical name, who knows? Also for a job I was thinking something along the lines of "night watchman." ... *shrug*

Actually I find it's best to create the character and then decide which other personalities in the canon they gravitate toward. (Of course, unless you want to be insane, like me, KEEP THEM TO THE CHARACTERS IN THEIR FANDOM. Unless you want BLoSC robot/Zim. >.<; Robot names are HARD. That's how I wound up with a dumb backronym like MALIK. (Of course, she has cool nicknames, which is fun.) It helps to think of why she was created and by who, and then try and think of a name that sums up her purpose in a snappy way. What a 'snappy way' is depends on opinion, which is why it's good to know the personality of who built the robot and what they'd think would be a good summing-up. For example, the LGMs obviously like acronyms, and Zurg likes to name robot models after bugs. And, like you said, if the creator didn't care about being practical, she could be named anything. Her name could be 'Sock' for Pete's sake.

That made me lol. xDD
But I think MALIK is creative, but with so many uncreative things out there, my judgement's hardly what it used to be. Huh..
Well at first I was thinking "what if she was originally a radio?" I know that it's random and weird, but that's what I thought. And then, like, she got sold to someone who actually just added stuff to the radio to make it think and whatnot, to give it actual personality, and I'm trying to decide whether her original owner was the person who owned the radio, or whether it was the person who actually honest-to-abba created her as a "person." And so, now, I'm leaning towards the person who made her a person, because you know (artists, inventors, work with me) how you get attached to your creations... And he/she'd be more likely to give her a name. Well, obviously. But you bring up some good points. I thought that maybe she was built as just a project like my dad's building his airplane. He's not building it to use it for war, or to use it for delivery, or to use it to give rides, he's just making it to fly around in it, because he enjoys it. (The making and the flying.) But that seems like a lame excuse to build a robot I mean a plane is one thing...Someone with feelings is another. I don't know why he/she had to give her away, if they cared, but maybe they didn't. I don't know, it's such a malleable, versatile thing, creating a character...
