Name: Erin Frame
Gender: female
Age: 19
Species: human
Homeworld: Capital Planet… more specifically Michigan, USA
Ethnic background: Scotch-Irish/Sephardic (Spanish) Jew
Hair: brunette with natural highlights
Skin: Caucasian
Profession: Space Ranger (cadet)
Likes: Team Lightyear, Star Command, LGMs, computers, Internet, books, languages, “kicking metal”… Warp Darkmatter…
Dislikes: Gravitina, NOS-4-A2, Torque, petty criminals, “pre-training,” Buzz’s speeches, the fact that Zurg and Warp are on the opposite side…
General:
Erin Frame is the OC of my flagship fic-series, For Good (of which only the first one is partially written and posted). It’s the old premise of a normal person entering into the story, but in a new way. Yes, the story focuses on Erin, but without sacrificing the charm of the original BLoSC. The first fic is really very much character-centric, focusing on the relationships developing mostly between Erin and Buzz and Erin and Mira – the first as sister and brother, and the second as best friends. Just by the development of these relationships, we get the chance to delve deeper into the characters of Buzz and Mira, and glimpse their pasts.
One thing that Erin brings to the table is the fact that she’s a 21st century BLoSC fan pulled out of her own time and into the 31st century. Even if she wasn’t a BLoSC fan with a well-rounded perception of their time, she would still have a more spiritual, eternal perspective. Being pulled across a millennium and losing her family and basically her whole world has given her a more solemn outlook on life, about how fleeting our time truly is and how we have to make every moment count.
Another factor in Erin’s favor is that she’s willing to give people a chance… even Zurg and Warp, Numbers #1 & #2 on Star Command’s Most Wanted.
Really, the overriding theme of the For Good saga (mostly unwritten, but hey, it’s still a saga) is that, sometimes, just one person entering your life can change it in ways you never would have imagined, and change it for good. It’s possible: no man is an island, and every day we come in contact with people – even if it’s just our own families – that can affect our lives for the better or for the worse. We are who we are not just through our personalities and our upbringings and our beliefs but also through the people we know… the relationships we share that shape us.
…Aaand I guess that concludes my contemplative little bio.
"Evil never wins."
