It just takes a little getting used to. The contents may be questionable, but the community is one of the best you could find on this internet - I love that place.

But the Nos-board members are NOT!
And in this board are more people than only me that share and like both communities, but not if one starts to diss the other, because then THIS community will totally lose its sympathy.

I agree with Levy.

The NOSboards, while a stark contrast to this one, is filled with some of the nicest people in the fandom. In fact, I found that I liked the NOSboards more than the XRboards 100% of the time and my opinion still, to this very day, remains the same.

The fandom is too small for us to pick each other apart simply because the rules are different per forum. We're all BLoSC fans and we should respect each other as such.

And as for the word filter. Words like S E X Y is nothing to frown at. Curse words, yes. Derogatory words, yes. And by derogatory I mean filthy, vile, low-blows to people. XR uses the word and so does Mira, just as Levy stated.

If you're going to censor people, either state it in the rules that you are to warn people or don't at all.

First of all: I made that edit before I'd seen "Head Case" and before I'd known that that word was used. I still can't catch XR saying it, for some reason... O.o ...What is that word DOING in a CHILDREN'S show?? That... isn't right... (And in case you're wondering... no, my sibs do not watch it. Once. That was because I didn't know. And if my mom knew, she definitely would ban it, anyway. BLoSC, whyyy??? )

Second: I don't think that anybody was seriously dissing the Nos board... but okay, yeah, no more dissing, 'kay, guys?

Third: when I made that edit, I was thinking of Kila saying in the rules: "This is a kid's show, see, so eleven-year-olds and my little brother will probably show up." Lemons, limes, porn, PG-13/T-rated fics... are all banned here. If they are, don't you think the little word that makes them banned (okay, as far as the fics go, it could just be mature, intense, and/or scary, but it could also be questionable) should be censored, too?

Fourth: xrfanclub.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=forum&action=display&thread=420&page=3#43580 ...It's now official. I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes; I'm not trying to be unfair, guys. I just want to keep things clean, okay?

Fifth: okay, so it's a slightly stricter sense of morality. I'm not trying to be the bad guy here. ...I just want things clean. There's enough of that stuff everywhere else on the 'Net, and just everywhere else in general. People who don't want to have to put up with it (or shouldn't have to put up with it in the first place, like kids under 13)... just... shouldn't have to.
Is that really worth another drop of interest and/or activity? I mean, really now - is it? I can't stop you if you get miffed enough to leave again, but I can ask you... please don't. This isn't all that big of a concession to make. Please don't get miffed, or leave.

Yeah, I agree with Skyfire. I've seen that word be used on multiple cartoons, and it always shocks me. I know it doesn't seem like that bad of a word to a lot of people, but, trust me, there are many who consider it so, especially for little kids.

And, yeah, seriously, no one leave over this. It's just one less word to use.

It's not about the word it's about this control-freak strickness that I just can't handle.

Don't worry, Sky! You're not the bad guy, your morals aren't the bad guy, no one is the bad guy in this situation.

It's just that I feel--and perhaps Levy--is that you should be a little more lenient. Now I'm not saying loosen up every rule, mind you, just offer a little more length on the leash. If you don't, you might fall the way the last period of this board did. You don't want to choke, do you? You have to keep in mind that not everyone is brought up the way you are; although I do see that most of the active fans are conservative Christian types.

For instance, I'm brought up in the most liberal state in this country! It's only nurture that I react to your censorship. If I didn't have respect for you, then I wouldn't be replying at all on this board to begin with. You can be a dictator, sure, but at least do it with moderation.

And we're back to that black/grey/white discussion topic again. XD

We just don't want to see this board suffer like the last period did.

((And just an FYI, BLoSC is a show for EVERYONE. There is humour for children as well as adults, this being the very word you don't like in our posts. You just have to find the adult humour that is masked with carefully concealed coating.))

I'm signed up, but I haven't gone on much. Everyone already knows each other there... plus, I'm not that much of a Nos-fan. But from what I've seen, it's okay. Don't wander into the threads with delicate subjects if you can't handle them, and you'll be fine.
