What got you interested in the show in the first place? I have to admit, for several years I avoided the show at all costs. I'm not entirely sure why; maybe I thought it was just a gimmick on Disney's part or something, just a cheap spin-off of Toy Story. ...That being said, one day I was bored and flipping through the channels and it just happened to be on, and I'd been curious for a while so I thought I'd give it a try. (It was Buzz Lightyear, after all - if I was gonna call myself a die-hard Pixar fan I had to see it.) I came in halfway through "The Slayer" (wow, XR-centric episode, fancy that) and I really liked it, so I stuck around for the second episode - which happened to be "Enemy Without a Face." (where XR saves everybody - all the pieces are starting to fall into place, aren't they? ;3) I watched more and more until I was just hooked. And now here I am... fun times. So, anyone else have a story? Remember the first episode you saw?

No, not the first episode, but there IS an interesting story behind why I watch it.
First of all, you must know that I have a "mental" condition called "OCD" short for "Obsessive Compulsive Disorder." You would'nt guess, I come across people as completely clean! Like most people with mental disorders. Some of the things I do differently compared to "normal" people, are turn the markers so you can see all the labels, make sure I'm holding a cup so I can see the picture, and tracing symmetrical shapes on surfaces. The thing that effects my life the most, is my sleeping problem. It's not insomnia, the problem is: I am completely scared of being killed. I don't watch scary movies or stimulate myself with caffeine, the problem is: In my head (at night) people are REALLY COMING TO KILL ME. In really gory, bloody ways like on T.V. I mean, I REALLY believe it, even though I live in a safe house in a safe neighborhood in a safe town.
What does this have to do with Buzz Lightyear? Well, I started watching T.V. late at night to keep myself stimulated and wouldn't be pulled into thoughts of homicide.
I can still tell you the order in which I see the shows come on:
Hannah Montana, The Replacements, Kim Possible, American Dragon and then, *DING DING DING!* Buzz Lightyear of Star Command.
At first, I kind of ignored the show, didn't really take any of it in. I thought the animating was a little dark, the characters ripped off. And then I decided I liked the robot character (Guess Who?) and kind of started watching it, after the second episode of deciding to pay attention, I forgot about XR, and then got a big fat kick in the head about him and I was like: "HE PWNS!!"
Been a fan ever since.

I watched this show first when I was like 9. I was a dorky little n00b fangirl who obsessively watched every episode... then I saw all the episodes three times over, lost interest, and then five years or so later I saw it was on Disney Channel. Since the show instantly brought back fond memories I made sure to tune into it and it didn't take me long at all to remember how much it KICKED TEH BUTTZ
By the way... first episode I saw, when I was 9? I was flipping through the channels one morning and came across 'De-evolutionaries' on ABC's Saturday lineup. I remember being immediately drawn to XR.

I hate having OCD, but I guess it served ONE purpose.
