I think Warp would have a hard time double-crossing Zurg....I mean....If Zurg found out Warp had betrayed him, and could still do something about it, the Evil Emperor could bullseye a target so big on Warp's back, the blueberry might as well kiss his next minute goodbye. That, and like mentioned above, pay is good! Why fight the paycheck.
Aaaaaaannnd....I'm not so sure this could work out without the aid of a good writer. Who knows?

That's the problem with cross-factional pairings like this: almost all the characters in the show are intensely loyal, if not to Star Command or Zurg or whoever, then at the very least they're loyal to "Good" or "Evil." It would take a really talented writer to pull off either Mira or Warp switching sides.
... And then there's the fact that there's no chemistry between them. Which would kinda make the pairing difficult to begin with, faction-switching or not. I'm curious now, is it possible to get them interested in each other? If no one could come up with a logical way for that to work out, there goes the idea of a pairing.

I've certainly never seen any opportunities. Some characters just... don't click. :/

...I just had an idea for Warp/Mira.
Warp is kind of a "ladies' man" but that would probably get dull after a while, wouldn't it? Maybe if they were pushed together, like getting stranded on an unknown planet in a chase, Warp might come to see Mira in a different light. Of course, I can only see this on his part and never on Mira's. It strikes me as cute and funny the way he'd try to flirt with and and she'd be like, "You want a piece of me?" *brandishes fist menacingly*

The only possible circumstance that I can think of for this pairing to work is this one:
Mira gets captured by Zurg while she's on Planet Z on an information gathering mission and Zurg is keeping her around so she can spill some Star Command codes. However, this is Mira we're talking about here, and she's not going to be betraying Star Command anytime soon, so Zurg assigns Warp to keep an eye on Mira to make sure she doesn't try anything to escape, and through that, the two get to AT THE VERY LEAST, an understanding of each other, if not a romantic thing going on...
God, now I'm going to have to write that fic...

To be frank, I've heard the exact same scenario before only with different people. ^^ Same as with my suggestion. Which probably means a good writer might be able to pull these off in accordance with Warp's and Mira's characters.

SWEET MOTHER OF VENUS! I WROTE THAT! NO, SERIOUSLY, I ACTUALLY WROTE THAT!! Granted, it was slightly different, but Mira was Zurg's prisoner and Warp was sort of her self-appointed... guardian? Jailer? Anyway, I was very careful to keep them IC and develop the Han/Leia-ish chemistry. Please, R&R! www.fanfiction.net/s/4704048/1/Not_So_Easy

And it's a wonderful piece of work at that. Buzz would have the mother of all headache if that happened and King Nova would have a heartattack.

Thank you!
*has a giggle fit* I wrote the story before I ever saw King Nova, so I never gave any thought to his reaction. But you're right - he would have a fit royale! XDDD
Buzz... I don't wanna go there. *starts seeing love triangle* Ohhh boy...

Maybe Warp's a cross between a Tangean and some other Blosc race, like human, or even grounder.

Isn't that being discussed in another thread? Seems like I saw this some place else.

Speaking as quite possibly the only Wine-fanatic I know of (no wait, Skyfire likes it to an extent, rock on)...I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that there's so much hatin' on this pairing on the 'net at large. I'll be the first to admit there's really no basis for it on the show, but really, there's no basis for ANY Mira pairings except Romac/Mira.
But see...I love it. I suppose you could call me a Wine-snob, because I honestly don't see any other Mira (or Warp) pairing working out. Of course, that could be because I'm such an obsessed loser, but that's beside the point.
So, anybody interested in hearing my reasoning for pairing them? Even if it's just morbid, grossed-out curiousity? (I'm actually terribly shy, and have been yelled at in the past for liking this couple, so I'd rather not go through that again if I can avoid it).

There's more that I want to say than I have time for, so I'll just settle for: Sure, I'll listen! ;D
