I couldn't find a thread for Wirewolf, so I made one. If there is an existing one and I'm just dense, I'll delete this. Pretty decent episode...I liked it, nice animation, good color, Ty was likeable, I don't understand why this one hasn't been on the air for a while...I couldn't find a good reason for this to be banned except for maybe tying into an already banned episode. However, there were only two things I didn't like about this episode: 1: The STUPIDEST LINE IN THE HISTORY OF TELEVISION ("Hey look! Radioactive footprints!" "Hey wait a sec...NOS-4-A2 doesn't have any feet!" Jeez, how long did it take you to figure that one out...-_- 2: Booster was kind of a Jerk to Ty in this episode...I mean, unnecisarily so...and Jeez, Booster's not stupid...couldn't he have told that he was ticking Ty off?

Booster isn't purposly a jerk, if ty was so annoyed he should have told him straight. You're right he is not stupid, be he is innocent and naive, he didn't get the indirects.
I love the animation here, Booster is drawn really well, and so is mira, looking like a woman, with decent proportions (unlike in some other episodes).
I don't know what people see in this character ty, but he used to have a few fans, one of them was from Spain, really nice but she left the internets and fandom, a pity.

Yeah, I guess you're right on that pont...I guess, but there's a thin line between naive and just kind of stupid, and in this particular episode, Booster was treading that line...
I don't dislike Ty, he's pretty cool as far as guest characters go, but I wouldn't fangirl over him...

I can see what people see in Ty. He's a space ranger that isn't a superhero, it's kind of refreshing. Don't get me confused, though. I can see where the fangirls are coming from, but I don't really consider myself one.

Yeah, the sarcasm was nicely played by Steve Hynter...he did a very good job on it, because it could've easily been overplayed...

again, he is not stupid, you're guessing and guessing with your thin lines, see, he grew up in a farm, it's the way he is, he is a goodie good guy. There aren't kings of sarcasms like ty where he grew.

I don't see anything wrong with Booster's behavior in this, he's just happy and overenthusiastic. So sue the guy.
Ty is... enh, he's better in Revenge of the Monsters. He doesn't really get on my nerves personally but I can see how he can get old.

Ty is like XR in human form. ^^
...That's what I thought the very first time I saw this. They seem to have so much in common, what with the bitter sarcasm...
And yes, the animation was incredible. 83 NOS at his absolute finest.
I didn't see a problem with Booster's behavior either, that's just who he is. Plus it kind of made a nice contrast between uber sarcasm and pure naivete. X3
The only thing I did have a problem with as far as Booster goes was a line in the very beginning; XR: What do they think the X in my name stands for, eXpendable? Booster: ...Doesn't it?
I heard that and was all... NO. BOOSTER did not just say THAT. D8 Worst Booster line ever.
Ironically, this episode also contains my favorite Booster line; Mira: You sure this is right? Booster: You question my knowledge of Buzz-lore? You disappoint me, Mira.
Epic WIN. XD

Why does it bother you?, I'm gonna quote Booster and ask...doesn't it?. Seriously though... doesn't it?. In an official site, toon disney I think, it says that xr thinks it's experimental but that in reality it's expandable, like a swiss army knife if I recall correctly (because of how he draws weapons).
There is one last thing I wanna say about Booster and the sarcasm thing, I don't wanna drag the discussion too much, but I wanna get it off my chest. In the episode Buzz didn't pick up the signals either, and he was ty's partner, working together day by day, even in the time they spend together in the episode he doesn't get the sarcasm, so there Buzz isn't stupid, Booster isn't stupid. Also, there is a sitcom called "the big bang theory" the smartest one in the groups of nerds, sheldon, has the most academic achievements, phd and whatever else, anyways, sheldon doesn't get sarcasm either.

Yes, but that's part of the problem: it bothers me when they do that on TV...because it's just not true to life. I've never met a single person who doesn't understand what sarcasm is. Not one.
And I can forgive Buzz for not picking up the signals. I won't say he's stupid or anything, because he IS one of Star Command's finest, but I will say he's a bit...socially awkward...and not likely to pick up on that....
But Booster isn't stupid either, and for the most part he's not that socially awkward. Yes, he is naive, but come on, no kings of sarcasm? Everywhere you go, no matter how remote, chances are, there will be a sarcastic person there. And sarcasm can come in many forms besides the kind that Ty uses, so that doesn't mean that Booster has never been exposed to it...
And look, this is just my opinion. I'm not telling anyone else to think this way at all. I'm not saying that this is the only way to percive the character. Alright?

I dunno, Booster does seem to take things very literally, look at how he acted in Star Crossed. It makes some sense that he might not always pick up on sarcasm.

In an official site, toon disney I think, it says that xr thinks it's experimental but that in reality it's expandable. ...Is it really? If it is, then my apologies. But I really think the X really does stand for eXperimental - the LGMs say so in TAB. I always thought the writers were once again trying to make a lame XR joke. :/ It's not even Booster's character I have a problem with, it's the writers' sense of humor. That line wasn't even funny. I'd trust Disney's site the most, but unfortunately it doesn't say anything. Every other site I check says eXperimental.

Yeah, but one of your previous statement was that he was reaching the line of stupidity, him and just specially him. Buzz and sheldon with free passes out. I don't even know what your opinion is anymore, I'm gonna guess and say that you think the writters messed up because you think Booster would have picked up extreme sarcasm. But I do think he hasn't been exposed to a king of sarcasm, doesn't seem like something that is part of the Jo-Adian culture, and I don't think kings of sarcasm would like Jo-Ad, xr and mira didn't when they went there. Netto apparently feels the same way, in his fiction Booster has never even left his planet. It might be just coincidence, but that character sheldon also grew up in a farm. So much for not dragging the topic... Let's just leave it up here, ok?.

Ehem. BLoSC started airing in my country again for the summer period with two episodes a day and that made me deliriously happy, especially when Wirewolf aired yesterday! Finally! I always miss that episode, it's about time I finally saw it!
...And I hated it. For some reason, the usual greek voice actors for XR and NOS were absent and their new voices really ticked me off. 'Specially NOS's. It was too deep and vampire-ish. And Ty came off as really snobbish and haughty. Geeze, I was so looking forward to this episode and, well, the dub ruined it for me. ;__; I'm really only hoping it's because of the crappy voice actors, but the episode seemed really off to me. Even the animation when NOS bit Ty passed by me too fast to be enjoyable. And the episode itself seemed incredibly rushed. I'm really only hoping I hated it because of the crappy dub...

I think it's probably just the dub, because I've always loved this episode.
...Not that I'm you or know what you'd like, but. In English, XR's voice acting is really good.
