This other fandom character is called BLAH in the show due to tensions between two characters and commenting on her general bored cold ennui (since she's mostly bored with about everything), and perhaps teasing the fandom; I think the show's creators are really aware of at least some fandom leanings. Why the fandom community generally dismisses is, I think, pretty much due to shipping wars: this character is the greatest 'threat' to a popular unconventional pairing, she she loves and is loved back by one of the principal players in that popular couple. I still enjoy anime/manga. My fictional interests are wide and varied. I don't think I've ever written fluff. I do believe I've only written gen and angst, and angst romance, but not fluff. (Wait, yeah, I did, but for another fandom, and it's rather old by now--but I still have a soft spot for that early attempt.)

Please don't mention shipping wars! That's what I was referring to when I said the TRC fandom is ready to tear everyone to shreds! T__T I try so hard to be diplomatic... but there are just some people who are so immature! Fluff's only fun if it's real life and it's happening to you. Fiction's no fun without conflict, really. I think the reason that some people like fluff is because they wanna see their fave characters happy. Ridiculously happy. XD;; More than they want to see an actual story. ... And I do believe this is post 100 for me. *streamers* ;D Sometimes, fluff is needed when the actual series is too heavy with "doom and gloom" elements. Conflict in romance fics is sadly one of the most overused ingredients... just look at all the soaps! But I like plot, even in romance-based fics, so sue me. XDDD *throws KILA IS A 1337 ARTIST in the air* Congrats! WHUT, no confeti? I had to purposefully mis-spell it. *weeps*

I want to avoid shipping wars in my other fandom too, so say no more. One of these days, in romance fanfic where it's about a couple getting together, I have to check and see if there's any real plot to it besides Them Getting Together.

Most plots in romance fics (AND NOVELS, AND SOAPS AND BASICALLY EVERYTHING) are basically about Them Getting Together. It's sad but true. But mine has plot, too, haha!

There needs to be more "while so-and-so is going on (Plot A), boy & girl finally realize their feelings for one another (Plot B)."

I actually do have an OC who was a female energy vampire who supposed to end up with NOS-4-A2, but after a while, I decided that they weren't that great as a romantic couple...so now she's not exactly meant to end up with anyone, I kind of like her by herself anyway...
No, I'm not talking about Stellar. I'm talking about Nos-2.0.
I revamped her to the point where she's pretty much well...the thing I use to describe her is "every possible naughty word you can call a woman." And she does have a few things that seperate her from NOS-4-A2. She's got extendable fingers (kind of like that one chick in X-Men 2) but some of her other powers I can't talk about on this board, because this board is rated PG and I'll get yelled at it by the admins...
People seem to like her the most of my characters...

Exactly! Fluff is not a plot, people. D< Though I do think it can make a very good subplot.

Well loony, now I'm intrigued by these non-PG powers. Though, y'know, admittedly, I can see that weaving two plots together looks intimidating (but so worth the effort!)

I myself have OC/canon pairing. My character known as Dark Gemini and NOS-4-A2. Though unlike some of the idea's I've seen on here she's an organic and nearly the exact opposite of dear Nossy. Being polite and considerate where Nos is cruel and sadistic. I'm not sure how well its doing since I usually don't do romance stuff, but oh well.
