I figure that any of the show's cast can be paired with a fan's oc, so I decided to make this thread really expansive: any oc for any character can be discussed.
I'll start with my persistent idea of a romantic oc for my favorite, NOS-4-A2 (though I doubt I'll ever write this sometime soon).
I'd avoid making her a vampire robot too, looking for something to differ with him. I'd have her short. Like, XR-short. (More contrast? Or am I really blatantly trying to substitute her for another canon character--but, that's a potential new thread for another day.) Maybe just a simple mechanic, or a Witch/Ghost Robot to go with his vampire (I keep thinking of someone trying to artificially duplicate Tangean Ghosting in a robot, and I think that's an interesting oc idea by itself).
Personality-wise...now, this is where I get the truth: I am utterly pestered by the idea of basically transplanting a couple from another fandom and making its equivalent in BLoSC. Comedy wise, that pair is passion & no passion, Angry Boy & Blah Girl. When I think about it, I'd say Nos is passionate, and though this is a romance thread, I don't mean that kind of passion--canon-wise, he's really enthusiastic about what he does: feasting on other robots' energy, taking over stuff, etc. I mean, he'd be passionate in comparison to the oc I'm thinking of, who would be the picture of deadpan-ness. So very dry in humor and seemingly emotionless and not willing to make a big deal out of anything. And as imagine this may be post Reveng of the Monsters and thru some vague resurrection scheme, Nos would be on edge; or maybe something even more AU with a different something putting him on edge--maybe he's just stressed.
I dunno, I keep thinking of the inspirational, other fandom pair's dialogue being duplicated along these almost exact lines:
OC: You're hot tempered, you blow up over every little thing--
Nos: Well, at least I feel something, as opposed to you! You're just a big--Blah!
And while in the original fandom it turns into Serious Break-Up (only to be resolved in the same ep., which I'm sure was a parody of some old tv shows), I'd see here, XR in this case, make the--perhaps cliched, but I like it--crack about them sounding like a married couple.

Ooh, that does sound interesting. o-o I'd like to see how that would work. Me, I have two canon/OC pairings... I'm a bit crossover-happy, though, so one of them has a canon BLoSC char with a Lilo & Stitch OC (...yeah, really) and the other has a BLoSC OC with a character from yet another fandom (though I'm not sure it really be called a 'pairing', they're not romantic in the slightest- and the other is pretty one-sided, from the OC's side). Which sounds really, really dumb, doesn't it? ;

Nah, not dumb; I admit, confusing at first, I had to reread twice, but not dumb. Something similar I'd do in relation to that would just think of a crossover pairing, especially if there's a character I like, but there's absolutely no one in his/her fandom that suits them--so, I search other fandoms.
And since it would a robot duplicating ghosting--well, Ghost/Witch robot continuing the rather cool lineage of Vampire Robot and Werewolf Robot.

I know, just the concept of that kinda of robot is neat--Supernatural Robots, that's what their group could be called. XD
A different side to that Witch/Ghost oc idea; I'm thinkin' other than deadpan sane, have the robot completely Drusilla-insane and speaking lyrical "nonsense" (Drusilla, a vampire from Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel, but again, I wouldn't have another vampire robot).

I love the concept of a witch/ghost robot! I wonder though if it would be able to do brain squeezes and search minds if it were made trying to duplicate Tangean powers.
Usually, I'm not very fond of canon characters being paired with original characters. The OCs are usually self-insertion of the writers, are so much better than the canon characs, and well, tend to be Mary Sue's and Gary Stu's. At least in fics I've read. But I have chanced upon fairly good attempts at canon/OC fics, and I think it can be pulled off if you're a very skilled writer. I just... never saw THE ONE FIC including a canon/OC that would make me go, "Wow! Now that was good!" Maybe you can prove me wrong, huh? XDDD

I imagine they'd try to duplicate brain squeezes/mind searches if duplicating Tangean powers, but for some reason I see them perhaps succeeding with Ghosting powers first.
I have pretty much the same opinion about romantic oc's, so I was really surprised when I started this thread to get that idea off my mind that's been bugging me a lot, and the fact that it was even bugging me was a personal shock.

Brain squeeze... hmm, a Tangean-style ghosting/witch 'bot combined with Nos could be quite the volatile coupling. If you wanted to give her a sadistic/villainous streak, and maybe the additional skill of being able to "reprogram" robots she reaches into, there could be some wonderful, wonderful power struggles between the two. At any moment Nos could bite the ghost-bot and possess her, but at any moment she could reach a hand (or claw or tube or whatever) into his programming and possess him. Neither would be able to control each other.
Or, they each manage to control each other at the same time, like he bites her and she ghosts into his head at the same time, and BOTH possess each other; they are each other's masters. And that would justify the pairing aspect. That'd make it almost accidental, but then what could they do about it? They are at each other's whim.
Which could turn their "romance" into a psychological horror story. Fun!

It would be something like a long-term project probably, which would happen over the course of years of study and experiments. It's those pesky plotbunnies! Once they strike, you MUST obey! XDDD We're so open-minded! Such a refreshing change from my other fandom!

What's your other fandom? (And if only our fandom had DVD sets, but Disney's being rather stupid in that department.)
I like that plotbunny, but I dunno if I could write that--I'm having trouble wrapping my head around since it's so different from what I was thinking of. But everyone knows they can pick up this Ghost/Witch robot idea and run with it, write their own fic on it, right? Right? But no, seriously, that idea's so cool...

What's your other fandom? (And if only our fandom had DVD sets, but Disney's being rather stupid in that department.) Ehem... Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle. It's a japanese manga. And let me tell you, things are getting veeery nasty on the fandom's part. I've never seen another fandom so ready to tear each other into shreds! Haha, this is what happens with plot bunnies. They can suddenly transform right before your eyes. ^^ Your idea would still work I think. I just hope the OC is not completely and utterly BLAH. Because then she'd be kinda boring, I must admit. I really liked ckret2's outlook on that pairing, though. It would be so wicked if someone could pull it off! Erm... yes, I'm one for mind games XDDDAnd this is post #100 for me! *does a happy dance*

Congrats on post 100! Oh, Tsubasa, I know that! Tried to get into it 'cause I liked CLAMP'S Cardcaptor Sakura, but then I couldn't necessarily keep up with the graphic novel releases. *headesk* Oh, yes, the BLAH oc; funny, the character she's based on is wrongly called BLAH (wrongly I say; she's a fascinating character who PWNS and is really good with knives and is re-connecting with a bunch of emotion through her Angry Lover so it's totally True Love there). Mind games are fun. Plot bunnies...they're so young and yet they suddenly grown and leave the nest. *tear*

Heh, hope I didn't warp everyone's ideas of what the ghost-bot could be like. XD; I'm a fan of mind games too. Actually, I can only think of one pairing I've ever written that's NOT at least partially dysfunctional... And that one was a request!fic... Go figure. And congrats on post 100!! (... omg, I'm three away from 100. Wow.)

XDDD The plot's really twisted and changed now. I suggest, if you want to venture into it again, to do so with a very open mind. And do so without venturing into the fandom for the sake of your sanity. ^^ If she's so pwnsome why is she BLAH? They should check the character tags again. Plot bunnies grow up so fast... T__T Thanks. Heh, hope I didn't warp everyone's ideas of what the ghost-bot could be like. XD; I'm a fan of mind games too. Fiction's no fun without conflict, really. I think the reason that some people like fluff is because they wanna see their fave characters happy. Ridiculously happy. XD;; More than they want to see an actual story. ... And I do believe this is post 100 for me. *streamers* ;D
