I CAN'T SEE DISNEY XD.*throws a fit* What stands out in my mind is 'A Pup Named Scooby-Doo'. Oh God, no, not that awful thing! It's so "brain-breakingly dumb," as ckret2 said, that I can't stand it! On the other hand, I'd like to see what Team Lightyear's childhoods were like. [...] like, honestly, childhood-backstory type stuff for the main characters. We've gotten one or two glimpses of their childhoods, like Buzz with his pet cat in Holiday Time, and Booster's flashback in Roots of Evil, but really nothing much more than that. I'd like to see how they ended up the people they are now. That would actually be nice to know, but I think they already did something similar in First Missions? *has never seen the episode to be sure* On a more on-topic vein, is anyone aware of any methods by which one might download an episode off of the aforementioned Disney site? On a purely hypothetical basis, of course. Academic curiosity. I suppose there are some sort of programs that can rip streaming videos. Never came across any though. Academically speaking, of course. I've only heard of programs ripping audio streams. I don't know about videos.

If you have Firefox 2.xx, you can use the "Download Helper" plugin to directly download the flash video stream.

That would actually be nice to know, but I think they already did something similar in First Missions? *has never seen the episode to be sure* I haven't seen First Missions either, but from what I've heard, it contradicts the canon of the pilot movie and only shows the characters from at most a few years before the series, not their childhoods. Although if that's wrong, I'd be glad to know. XD; If you have Firefox 2.xx, you can use the "Download Helper" plugin to directly download the flash video stream. Firefox has never worked well for me... Eh, I could try that out, though. I've already got a program to convert flash files to video, so if I have any success with Firefox, I'll be sure to say something in the Episodes thread. ;D

Yeah, that's about right. (XR is the only one it really contradicts canon with, though.)
Why do I have this horrible feeling that it's not inconceivable that someone would actually do that?
I certainly don't know of a free downloadable program called HyperCam that lets you record anything on the screen. Nope. That's not how I got my first three BLoSC episodes, either.

You see? just here there are a lot of people who hate this kids thing, I didn't actually say I was one of them D: I like some kid versions better than the grown up ones (I think they are boring), some others are just a bad idea. The oldest one I've known of is from the SEVENTIES!, pink panther and SONS, they did the talking that never really necesary for him. Oh God, no, not that awful thing! It's so "brain-breakingly dumb," as ckret2 said, that I can't stand it! why is it that there are some shows that are far dumber (say ren and stimpy, billy and mandy, specially billy) and people do like those?, nobody has to answer that, but I really preffer scooby doo as pup to "booger sandwich (from BOTH of the other shows). Anyways, there is a program called "offline explorer pro" that is specifically for the purpose of downloading streaming video, and online contents of pages to offline. You could try that, but I don't think they want you to do that, I don't know if it's legal or if they could catch you or what, reading the terms and conditions wouldn't be a bad idea.

Toy Story Kids. Now there's a mental image I didn't need. Especially since, due to the fact that the main characters were toys built as adults, they never WERE kids. "Coming next spring, an exciting new Disney rip-off spin-off of Toy Story: Toy Story Kids!! Watch for 52 brain-breakingly dumb episodes as bricks of pre-processed plastic and bottles of paint sit around in the factory, waiting to be melted down, dumped in a mold, and turned into your favorite Pixar characters!" It'll be a smash hit. ¬.¬ On the other hand, I'd like to see what Team Lightyear's childhoods were like. (Well, except poor XR, who didn't exist then...) Not something ridiculous like the stuff they did with Scooby Doo and Tom & Jerry, where basically the plot and stories were the same as the original series except everyone was younger and everything was stupider; like, honestly, childhood-backstory type stuff for the main characters. We've gotten one or two glimpses of their childhoods, like Buzz with his pet cat in Holiday Time, and Booster's flashback in Roots of Evil, but really nothing much more than that. I'd like to see how they ended up the people they are now. A Toy Story series, I don't mind. A Toy Story series with the toys as kids, when physically they can't age that way? FAIL. Why not have XR go time travelling through the other characters' childhoods? ;D

That would make a good fic. It'd be a little cracky, but that could be... maybe he's messing with something the LGMs were working on and... WTF I DUN NEED MORE PROJECTS D: -shoves away plotbunny-

WTF I DUN NEED MORE PROJECTS D: -shoves away plotbunny- I don't need more plotbunnies, but I've given up, and they all just run my mind, but I never get around to writing them simultaneously. I just thought of that, for a hypothetical spin-off (ha, spin-off of the spin-off of a mega-successful--and rightly so--movie), to include XR in something he wouldn't initially logically be included in, figuring out a way to put him in a show about the others' childhood and making his inclusion seem somewhat logical.

Yeah, that's about right. (XR is the only one it really contradicts canon with, though.) No way! Don't tell me they give him a proper past or something? What's canon and non-canon then? Lousy gits. Why don't they ever check the previous stuff? At least for reference?Oh God, no, not that awful thing! There are just some shows I can't stand, period. I've never seen that Ren Stimpy, whatever thing, and frankly, the way you say it's dumber than Pup-verse Scooby, I really don't want to know now. I think my favorite Scooby-verse is What's New Scooby Doo? The artwork is fresher and crisper without losing that old style from the classics. But anyway, everyone's got the right to like or hate something. I just don't like Pup-verse Scooby. ^^;; I just thought of that, for a hypothetical spin-off (ha, spin-off of the spin-off of a mega-successful--and rightly so--movie), to include XR in something he wouldn't initially logically be included in, figuring out a way to put him in a show about the others' childhood and making his inclusion seem somewhat logical. Now that would make an interesting fic... ...And now that we learned about all of these neat little programs for our academic curiosity, has anyone tried any of them yet? To satisfy our academic curiosity at least?

Huh? Did Disney do something else with Toy Story? It was a joke, see in the '80s and early '90s whenever they wanted to do a spin off, they turned the characters into kids, to name a few: tom and jerry kids, jungle cubs (although this one is mid-'90s), flintstones kids. The comparison I was making was that disney stopped tale spin and years later made a different spin off this time, hey! they were kids!. Ah, okay. Hey, I remember Jungle Cubs; I actually thought that was pretty cute. X3 Ew, Toy Story Kids would be awful... XP Oh, me too! I love backstory stuff. :3 ...Hey, do you think Disney would pay any attention to an online petition to put BLoSC on DVD? X3

seriously?, no.
They might, even remotely look at it if it gets like 3.000.000 signatures, and I'm not trying to exagerate

If the KP fans rallying together could influence Disney into making a fourth season, I'm sure if we all got together, we could get DVDs. It wouldn't be easy, and it wouldn't be a short campaign, but I believe we could.

say, how many fan does kim possible have?, far FAR FAR more the Buzz Ligthyear.
I don't know the numbers but if it is something anonymous like an "internet petition", in which they get *no* money, the number has to be really REALLY fat.
Now, something they'll pay attention to is sales, if a video sells, they make more, to sell more. I don't know what made them go for another season of kp, but I could guess (and be wrong) thinking that it's the dvd sales of the episodes.
Plus, I didn't say it wasn't possible for it to happen, if that's what you're disagreeing with.

This would need mass write-in days, call-ins, etc. That's how the KP fans got their voices heard.

They've been trying to bring Invader Zim back with petitions since 2002. It didn't work and IZ has an obscenely large fanbase. Lilo & Stitch the Series was petition'd too and THAT didn't work either. (Granted, L&StS sucks. A lot. But if that was a factor it never would've been made. ) So, yeah. I doubt it.
