XR is a virgin..? I mean, obviously, because it's a kids show, but we don't actually know anything about any of the other characters in that way... but XR is a robot. I mean, he has to be a virgin. If that makes any sense...Can anything/person be called a virgin or do they have to be flesh and blood? That's another weird thought... But it's beside the point. Unless, of course, there's some weird robot substitute...*shudder* I mean, he can feel pain... So anything's possible, really. But from the information we've been given. I was about to type something really dirty. *facepalm* So...All the other Robots have to be virgins (wow it feels weird typing that ) too... But everyone/thing in BLoSC has thoughts and feelings, so it's a really weird divide. But wasn't there something "wrong" with XR originally, that he actually had opinions and whatnot? In that case...Is there something wrong with all the other robots in the show..? All that being said, how could he possibly know what it's...like? For him to be the lil' pervert he is? If he doesn't have that understanding, how can he be such a, well, a "ladies man?" (Sorry to the little kiddies out there, but I'm not keen on explaining all this... Though how many kiddies can there be on here, really? I'm assuming you guys all get the picture...ANYWAY.) I'm not really saying that it doesn't make sense, just that I feel it needs to be discussed in order to be solved. Or just, explained. (No I don't mean explained...) I'm sure you guys already discussed this stuff a million times over, but I'm kind of new at this point, so I feel like I'm allowed a mistake or two like this... Anyway, I'm hoping everyone will be mature about this, because I'm not just posting this to post something dirty, I'm seriously interested. This all sounds so dirty.. I promise I don't mean it like that. xD

I think that they see virginity as something related to "warranty", it must be like a seal. I don't know.... ehh.... there is an episode where he makes a joke where he says he didn't know a robot girl was under warranty.
All in all this isn't supposed to be taken too seriously, I doubt that intercourse between robots leads to anything, it happens in futurama, but I think in the movie "robots" "babies" come from a factory.
This all kind of weird.

...I wanted to lock this because it's PG-13 but it's so interesting in an insane way and you said you wanted to be mature, so. I'll just referee it.
SO YEAH. That is interesting. My personal belief is that deep down, XR really wants to be as human as possible, because he doesn't want to be different. And do you ever see him with any robot friends?
I think a large part of his constant flirting is more that subconsciously h's trying really hard to fit in and humans as a whole are fairly fornication-minded, than that he's really interested in getting physical- because how could that be??

Aight'. *salutes* I guess I could've put "PG-13" in the title, but I saw someone swearing, and it hadn't been removed, so I figured that the limit was PG-13 (like the3eds...) SO YEAH. That is interesting. My personal belief is that deep down, XR really wants to be as human as possible, because he doesn't want to be different. And do you ever see him with any robot friends? That's true... I hadn't thought of that. Although I don't think that "not being different" is one of his main priorities, because it seems like he'd rather be comfortable with himself than have others be more comfortable with him (everything I type sounds wrong today...) but I need to do some serious observing before I can make a point like that, I suppose. I think a large part of his constant flirting is more that subconsciously h's trying really hard to fit in and humans as a whole are fairly fornication-minded, than that he's really interested in getting physical- because how could that be?? Hmm.. But then the real question is: Why does/might he want to be more like a human? :/ Mmzactly. It's all very weird.

...Wait, what?!
That definitely shouldn't be there- I missed that D:
He seems like the type who can't like himself unless other people do, though- so they kinda go hand in hand, sorta.
Because his friends are all human (organic, whatever) and he wants to fit in with them. I just said that... XD;

...Wait, what?! That definitely shouldn't be there- I missed that D: Think it could've been me? I tend to swear a lot without even realizing it. (Me and my loose tongue. >.>) If it was, sorry about that. ^^;; So, yeah. On the whole virginity subject. I want to point out what RedRage mentioned about warranty. I think that might be what robots consider to be virginity. And now here's my two cents: Ever since XR was "reborn" into his current personality, he's been delving into such matters... like flirting outrageously with females, reading Victoria's Circuit, cracking naughty jokes... I think it's because he doesn't really know about these subjects, but sees how humans act, so he tries to imitate them and read up on the subject (like reading Victoria's Circuit) by himself to learn about it better. Although "I didn't know she was under warranty!" makes me suspicious about just how innocent he is... O.o;;; I don't even want to go down that road of thinking... But... then again, being robots, they don't really have a need or a drive like animals and humans for actual intercourse, right...? Their artificial intelligence might be programmed to think and act like humans, but when you get right down to it, would a robot really want to act like a dirty-minded human? (Nevermind XR, I mean normal robots. ^^; Somehow, I see robots being above such carnal thoughts... what do you guys think?

Yeah! That's what I was trying to say and failing at. Yeah, I think most robots are asexual. You don't see NOS-4-A2 getting jiggy with da ladies. SORRY, YOU DON'T.

Glad I could express the thoughts of two people then. XDD
OF COURSE YOU DON'T. BECAUSE HE JUST ISN'T INTO THAT SORT OF THING. AT ALL.

I've imagined robots have an equivalent of intimacy, but it wasn't physical, more on the data plane. Like, some sort of thing involving linkage. I also think they're more about romantic emotional love than the physical love, though that's a factor too.

Like Wall-E and EVE~!!! *cue for sparkles and hearts* I swear, their love was the purest, most innocent and adorable thing ever! How can you NOT like them! <3333333333 lol, SORRY. That was kinda off-topic. I wanted to point out something else I've always wondered about and which chapstickfantastic kindly pointed out: But wasn't there something "wrong" with XR originally, that he actually had opinions and whatnot? In that case...Is there something wrong with all the other robots in the show..? I've always wondered about how they marveled about XR attaining an almost "human-like" personality when all the other robots we've seen in BLoSC do and it's considered perfectly natural. So my first thought was, "The writers scre-- er, messed up." But then I thought about another possibility that is rather plausible: Perhaps the first time robots are made they don't have personalities. Maybe it's something they develop as they go along from watching and learning, like XR's artificial intelligence chip was supposed to do to him. And the fluke the LGMs did to make him all of a sudden have the personality we have come to know and love was something like an accelerated version of the learning process. Which might be the reason everyone was shocked to see him all smarty-pants-like. Or something along those lines... XD

Ooh, there's an idea.
I always thought it was that most robots have to be carefully and exhaustively programmed to display a personality, whereas XR's is randomly generated.
And the writers probably don't care.

But I really do want to go down that road of thinking, because if we're afraid to go there, what can we accomplish, really? Not that I would recommend it. Apparently this board is rated "E" for everyone. *does hand flip* I'm okay with it though, of course. Because his friends are all human (organic, whatever) and he wants to fit in with them. I just said that... XD; Yeah, no, I get that, but I mean why. not, like, "because he wants to be more like his 'organic' friends" but why does he want to be more like that? Why does he need to be needed? Yeah, I think most robots are asexual. You don't see NOS-4-A2 getting jiggy with da ladies. SORRY, YOU DON'T. I do... No, no just kidding... And the writers probably don't care. B-but...They HAVE to... Or...Or... But I liked both the ideas, honestly.

Yeah, no, I get that, but I mean why. not, like, "because he wants to be more like his 'organic' friends" but why does he want to be more like that? Why does he need to be needed? Perhaps because the man he views as his father (Cmdr. Nebula) is so unaccepting of him, and spoke blatantly against the very concept of him. In FRONT of him, no less- albeit pre-personality. "No bucket of bolts can stand up to a real ranger!"- RIGHT IN FRONT OF XR. "GET THAT THING OUT OF HERE!" And even Buzz rejected him initially- "NO MORE PARTNERS!" Seriously, these early experiences of rejection may have had large effects on his psychology- including his need to be needed and desire to be more like his organic friends.

I mean, obviously...but he's not ALL the time. But is it just me, or would a very observant person notice that after a while, all the girlie stuff just makes him seem more, well, immature than 'human?' If so... This is a great character trait. An awesome character trait, in fact.
