Do you mean something like "what it looks like from his end", in first person?. Like if he sees with a bunch of messages and grids huds?
I don't remember if there is an episode with that : o
As for the camera in his eyes, it's definitely connected to his computer with a wireless connection, something like "space wifi"or "solar blue tooth", hehe.

Yeah, little cameras... they show his POV briefly in NOS-4-A2, and it just looks like human vision, but they might just have been too lazy to do something special. He might have a tracker-robot-vision thing he can turn on and off at will, though. (It would be ANNOYING to see grids over everything all the time. Maybe that's why he failed the laser-drill qualification test. THERE WERE GRIDS ALL OVER EVERYTHING AND HE COULDN'T SEE TO STEER THE DRILL D8)

I figure just really, really advanced image data stuff.
Like, computer vision with lots of details. Although, since this is a 2-D cartoon, would it be Image Processing? Ha, ha.
