Well we all know that XR makes electronic nosies when he moves and blinks but could he make random bleeps and beeps and other random noises if he wanted to. Like just kinda sit there and make an annoying beeping sound just to get on someones nerves?
I dont know. Its really random but I have always wondered that.

usually when computers beeps is because the sound is disable or not available. But I doubt it can't be programed to beep if the user wants it to.
I don't see why Xr couldn't control this, it really is more of a "do writers feel like it" or not.

Yeah, but I always used to imagine XR sitting there in 42 making random beeps to get on Buzz's nerves, or anyone who is listining for that matter

LOL. He would totally do that, especially if he was in one of his self-pity moods or if he was trying to get back at someone. That would be really funny!

As long as it isn't this nasty sound microphones create...

Tell me about it. That's probably the most irritating noise ever. Besides someone calling your name incessantly.

Microphone feedback is one of the most annoying noises EVER.... I think I would rather listen to 'It's a Small World' then that. But I imagine XR could make that noise if he really wanted to....
I would have to hit him or something if he started it around me... lol

I like to think he might talk to other robots in beeps when no one's around... XD like R2-D2 or WALL-E (random thought: future generations might know WALL-E better than R2) I have this image in my head of XR yakking on a cell phone in whistles and beeps and Team Lightyear watching him in shock... and he notices them watching and says they shouldn't eavesdrop. (And later he eavesdrops on them lol yeah.)
But yeah, I'm sure he can beep voluntarily, it seems like he can do anything with technology he wants to. He's a little hacker. Talks to ships, gets access to the Database of Ultimate Knowledge. His one weakness is the prison computer on PC-7. That computer is just too evil.

Oh yeah "Non organic terrorist" alert
Also I have heard him make fax machine noises before.... like when that blonde girl kissed him at Cosmos, and he starts making these weird fax machine noises... and shaking.
"At least he treats me like an adult"

Oh, that was so adorable. He was all '8DD -beepbeepwhirrr-'
I think he'd get kissed more often if girls knew he'd do that. It as that cute.

I would kiss him just to hear the cute fax noises.
Beeping would be a great thing in a kids show.
Buzz: Dang it we are all XR: BBBBBEEEEPPPPP Buzz: Now!! Mira: That was a great catch XR.... XR: Thanks.... *GlaresatBuzz* This is a kids show for goodness sakes.... Buzz: *sweatdop* sorry....

Oh gosh, no XD He'd do it all the time with completely innocent conversation. Booster: Ooh, it was fun! All my friends came over, and we were all XR: *BEEP* Booster: -ing pizza and XR: *BEEP* Booster: -ing games like XR: *BEEP* Booster: the XR: *BEEP* Booster: on the Donkey- XR, why are you making all those noises? Are you feeling okay? XR: I feel terrific, thanks for asking.

Gahha. I actually like the sound of microphone feedback. Call me crazy... It lets me know that technology hasn't completely killed us... Er...Yeah.
Beeps and noises, eh? I don't know. I assume it could be some kind of default robot language that only robots know what they mean...but someone had to program them that way, so it's a faulty theory.
*sigh*
