^^ Wow. How ironic is that? NOS is an energy drink, NOS 4 A2 is an energy vampire.

Lol, I thought so... XD
I never got into vampires, either. Craig Ferguson seems to talk about them a lot. ...Maybe that's how he got the part. *snicker*

...is this really, really cute to anyone else, or is it just me? Well, cute and a little weird. He looks a little like a yet-to-be-revived clone in a pod in that thing.

No, I see what you're saying with that... Kind of like "Oh, I'm a sleepy little robot-slave thingy" kind of cute. If such a cute exists.

This has got to be one of my all-time favorite episodes. top of the Top 10. It was the very first BLoSC episode I can remember watching, and I NEVER GOT TO SEE THE END OF IT UNTIL 3 YEARS LATER.
And I am one of those NOSgirls who find him hot...and It's not because of that hourglass figure he has... I love the way he expresses himself and moves his hands around when he talks, so it's prolly his personality more than anything...
I also love this episode because it also has one of my favorite Mira Exchanges in teh whole series:
"My name is Mira! Could somebody PLEASE CALL ME MIRA!" "*gasp* Mira!" "Thank--"*Swept off feet by Buzz from oncoming explosion*

Just curious, am I the only one who recognized the mission viewer's controls as the controls to the Interocitor from 50's Sci-Fi B-movie, This Island Earth?

This Island Earth, of MST3K fame? XD Really? Yeah. Look at the controls on the mission viewer. They're the exact same "intensifier discs" from This Island Earth.

Perhaps I'm the only one who thinks of weird stuff like this, but I've been wondering about the whole idea of "energy vampires" for quite a while, now...
Everyone (in the show) was quite quick to label NOS as an energy vampire, and he's identified as such every time he shows up; does that mean that they've had previous experience with energy vampires in the Galactic Alliance? They came up with the label and stuck with it too quickly for this to have been the first time anyone had ever heard of an energy vampire.
So, did they exist before NOS? Where? What were the other energy vampires like; was it a fluke of bad construction that turned a robot into an energy vampire? What makes an "energy vampire" different from other robots, anyway? If a robot's built a weapon into himself that lets him plug into another robot's fuel tanks and sap out the fuel, is he now an energy vampire? There's got to be more to qualify a robot as an energy vampire than a nifty accent and a monocle. So far as I can tell, there's nothing NOS can do that's "supernatural" in any way (like there is in traditional vampires), nothing that can't be built into another robot, except maybe his mind-control trick. How does it work, and how effective is it, anyway? It didn't hold on to XR for very long, after all.
Plus, there's the fact that they call him an ENERGY vampire. If energy vampires were the only vampires in the BLoSC universe, you'd think they'd just call him a vampire; after all, we don't call Dracula a "blood vampire" because there's no other kind of vampire to deferentiate him from (well, unless you're a BLoSC fan. Which accounts for a very small percentage of society). Does that mean "normal," fleshy, blood-sucking vampires exist somewhere in the BLoSC universe, too? And if so, where are they and are they any different than the Dracula-esque vampires we usually find in other works of fiction?
I don't know if this is the proper place to start this topic, but since it stems from the NOS-4-A2 episode, it seemed fitting...
