O.o long post, but that is a very interesting batch of questions you're asking.

Thanks. XD I probably should've put that monster block of text somewhere else, but couldn't think of another place. That up there is what happens when you've recently watched an episode and realize there's a whole lot of stuff you want to know about it that no one else seems to have explained.

This seems like the perfect place to me. I'm not sure how to answer your questions, though. Maybe Nos went around biting robots and they decided to call him an energy vampire because of that. If a robot plugged into another and sucked out energy, maybe they'd call him an 'energy thief' or something instead.

Interesting idea. Still, it makes me wonder what makes Nos, a "vampire," different than a "thief." Is it just the fact that he gets his energy through biting?
But then there'd have to already be a concept of vampires for Nos to be compared against, for them to think "biting = vampires".
I think the automatic assumption is that Nos is the first, last, and only of his kind. I think it'd be interesting to see if there were others--and particularly to see how they're different.

... they call him a vampire because he looks like a vampire... he came out of a coffin... he has fangs and wings.

And he's named after Nosferatu. ^.^

I have actually wondered about that myself. I once had this little scene in my head where XR finds out there are other energy vampires and it takes, like, three hours to get him to shut up...

You know, ckret2, I've wondered about those things myself, and here's what I think: that there might be actual blood-sucking vampires in the BLoSC universe in the first place, thus giving Zurg the initiative to create NOS-4-A2. He probably made him the way vampires exist there: with fangs, wings, a somewhat aristocratic demeanor, and so on. Or... there might not really be any actual vampires in the BLoSC universe at all, but merely myths and legends like in our universe. After all, if you want to be really... "accurate," let's say... you could suppose that the BLoSC universe is our universe in the future. So that could be also why NOS-4-A2 is named as he is: Nosferatu, from the ancient romanian word for "vampire." Also, the fact that he's called an "energy vampire" might be simply because his very appearance screams "vampire," not to mention the way he sucks energy, which can be immediately compared to the "blood-sucking" vampires do. And because he was created in the image of a vampire in the first place. Well, that's my theory. Did that make any sense?

Yeah, that makes sense. That's an interesting theory. I hadn't heard the theory that the BLoSC universe is our universe, but it makes sense... it'd explain the presence of humans. And definitely explain how they'd be able to make the "vampire" comparison.

I always assumed that Capital Planet was future!Earth- though I suddenly find myself wodnering what happened to the rest of our solar system. They only ever show a lone Capital Planet next to the sun... which should, logically, given the proximity of said planet to said sun, should have fried off all life on it o-o

If it is future!Earth, then maybe the future!sun is a super-cooled-off really-old sun?
And maybe the sun, while expanding, ended up eating the nearby planets, and "Earth" (well, y'know, Earth-culture) has been relocated to Uranus or something, a farther-out planet. I don't remember if Uranus is one of the gas-planets or not...

If the sun was super-cooled, it would be red, right? A red giant, and WAAAAAAAAAAAY big big, BIG!
Uranus! XDDDDDDD Sorry...that name is just awful for a planet! It's a gas giant, so...colonization might be hard, but it's probably doable. Like Cloud City on the planet of Bespin! No ground, though....kind of depressing when you think of it.
I dunno...I always thought the BLoSC universe was set in another galaxy. Maybe a neighboring one? Perhaps some humans migrated from the Milky Way, OR perhaps humans on Earth are really offshoots of humans in a separate galaxy! The plot thickens!!

Yeah, that'd make more sense, for Capitol Planet to be in another solar system. Earth isn't the center of everything, after all.
Either way, it'd still be cool for Earth to be tied into the Galactic Alliance somehow.
Whoa. This thread ended up way off-topic, didn't it? XD (And that's mainly my fault, huh...)

XDDD Very far from the center of anything, really. And if you go down for being off-topic, I'll go with you! NOS-4-A2 is pointy, and wouldn't make a great huggle buddy! There.
